• (2022-10-26) Francien Berndsen: I was perfectly happy, but unfortunately the extension gives me error messages :-( When I go to the extension and choose for 'History' I get the following error message: 'There's no more items in your history. Refresh the page to go to the beginning'. At the bottom of the page I got the message 'Failed to retrieve your history. We will work for a solution soon'. Unfortunately I get this error message for almost a month. Uninstalling and installing doesn't solve the problem and installing it in Firefox shows the same error messages.

En algún momento me ha pasado de ver que algún capitulo no marcó, pero como era de forma muy rara, y solía hacerlo con los capitulos siguientes, no lo vi como un problema. A día de hoy ver más series por TV con el Chromecast, por lo que ya no le doy mucho uso a esta extensión. Como aplicación, recomiendo Showly 2.0, muy funcional y sin dificultades.

Unfortunately, the plugin and trakt.tv only works about half the time, which means it is completely useless. It is constantly complaining about not being able to contact the website. I tried it for a few weeks, and manually added the things it missed, but it hasn't gotten better.

  Did a little debugging and found a simple fix: On the first line of "history-sync.js", change the expression e.buildIdentifier=r.buildIdentifier to e.buildIdentifier="mre" This can either be done using the chrome debugging tools (this modification needs to be made each time you reload the page), or by making a copy of your local version of the extension, modifying the "history-sync.js" file, and then loading the extension in developer mode (change only needs to be made once) Instructions for modifying an extension and loading in developer mode: https://stackoverflow.com/questions/2250163/how-do-i-directly-modify-a-google-chrome-extension-file-crx Instructions for modifying the source file in development tools: 1. Open Chrome dev tools 2. Go to the history page of the Traktflix plugin (the one that's failing) 3. Go to the "sources" tab of the developer tools 4. Open the history-sync.js file (it's in js > history-sync.html) 5. Add a breakpoint at line #1 6. Refresh the page 5. When the breakpoint trips, change the expression e.buildIdentifier=r.buildIdentifier to e.buildIdentifier="mre" 6. ctrl-s to save the file 7. Resume execution in the debugger 8. Things should work now! You'll need to repeat these steps every time you refresh the page

  I haven't kept up on any updates to the Trakt API, but as of late (the last couple months, roughly) TraktFlix is successful at syncing my Netflix history to Trakt except for the watch time; all episodes appear on Trakt with the Release Date as the time I viewed them. Seeing as that's my default on Trakt for watched items using the Checkmark button, I would surmise that it's something as simple as a syntax error that's causing the API to reject the timestamp provided by TraktFlix and thus reverting to my default. Let me know if you need further help reproducing the issue or debugging it further.

  Since the last update, I've had a couple of issues. When streaming, clicking the Traktflix icon no longer displays what is playing. It just shows a message that I should watch something. The episode/movie does appear in history, but I have to mnually sync for it to update Trakt. Tried removing and setting it all up again a couple of times, but no luck. Any suggestions?
