(2020-08-06) Steven Chong: This works! I've been trying to get rid of the side cart with no success. I tried blocking javascript but that broke the image cycling when viewing the item images. I tried zooming in on my browser but the side cart came back like a zombie when viewing other pages. Finally! I found this extension and stopped the side cart for good. Thanks.

I am SAD to say it, but in recent years I have noticed that Amazon and Google run roughshod over their customer's privacy. I have shopped on Amazon for "widgets" one day, only receive email about "widgets" from others I have NEVER done business with. I refuse to allow my privacy to be trampled-on.
