This extension adds customizable autoscroll support to Chrome.

Description from store For users on Linux or Mac, the lack of autoscroll can be a big pain. This extension can help! It supports both sticky and non-sticky scrolling, doesn't scroll on textareas or links, and even has settings to customize various aspects such as scroll speed. To use it, press (or hold) the middle mouse button, then move the mouse to scroll the page. Alternatively, hold Ctrl/⌘ and press the left mouse button. It won't work on every page, but it should work on most. Known bugs: ● You need to refresh the site or restart Chrome before it'll work. You only need to do this once. ● Doesn't work on chrome:// URLs or the Chrome Web Store. It's restricted by Chrome for security reasons. (2022-12-01) Daniel: I really liked this extension at first, I was coming from windows to mac and the ability to autoscroll again was nice. However I've noticed a bug; on some webpages, after using the autoscroll feature and exiting (by clicking the mouse or scroll wheel) the scroll will jump about an inch further in the direction of scrolling. This bug is pretty jarring due to it's unpredictable nature; I couldn't find anything about it in the options or other reviews, if anyone knows a fix I'd be very appreciative.
(2022-11-26) undefined: I came to Chrome from Firefox and hated how ugly is standard autoscroll is. Thanks to this extension it becomes even better than in Firefox because it has wonderful settings for the scroll sensivity. Absolutely must have.

(2022-04-26) RedSnt: Wow, so simple yet so powerful. Took me a little while to figure out what the settings meant and <5 px, >5 px, 20 spd seems to emulate the autoscroll I'm used to in Vivaldi @ Win10 while I'm currently on Vivaldi @ Linux. 5/5 - It just works. Todd Howard would be proud.

(2021-12-27) Barack Lasagna: Scrolling is stuttering, specifically on Amazon.com. This happens on all computers with this extension. Does not do it without it.
(2021-12-24) tellfile: I love this add on! It moves the screen up, down and sideways hands free at whatever speed I want! I use it with a trackball mouse and once the middle button is pushed and the little screen icon pops up, screen travel can then be controlled by just a slight movement of the track ball. I use it in Linux Mint. I don’t know why Chrome didn’t have something like this as a basic setting in their browser like FireFox.

(2021-10-25) Patrick McLeod: Works for me on Mac. Just make sure to fully restart Chrome. Cmd + left click on the page and drag to start scrolling. Change the speed number in setting to adjust the speed.

La vitesse maximale que j'ai pu trouver est de 90, quand on dépasse ce nombre cela va plus doucement. Je trouve que la vitesse n'est pas assez pour une page très longue, si vous pourriez arranger ça se serait parfait.

Hello. Have been enjoying your extension so far but encountered a problem. On sites that use css property "scroll-behavior: smooth" mouse wheel click scrolling doesn't work properly: it starts scrolling very very slow, and when you release the button it scrolls very quick. Your instructions on how to use this extension are gibberish under "basic" and "speed". How about giving instructions so the user can adjust the speed of the scrolling in simple terms? None of the checkmarks or input make any difference to the speed. This Chrome extension is useless. You should get your programmers to get into the shoes of the user.

I used to be able to middleclick once and the scroll icon would appear and I could scroll the page by moving my mouse up and down from that icon (without having to keep the middleclick pressed or pressing any new buttons). I found that turning on the CTRL+Click feature does keep the scroll icon in place after initiating the command. Oddly enough, on certain sites, the middleclick, release and scroll feature does work on certain sites, but on others, it does not (it functions as described above). In some instances, an icon doesn't even appear but I am able to scroll the page (albeit while holding down the middleclick button).

I wonder if an option could be added to disable the extension on Windows since it is redundant, for people who have extensions synced between multiple OS's. Although it doesn't have much overhead and is mostly identical to the built-in behavior, I would still like to only use it on OS's that don't have it built-in.

opera browser had scroll speed which was exponential. you could add a checkbox for little move fine tuned scroll and easily speedup to light speed without exhausting the height of screen. this feature would feel the opposite of "Don't scroll faster than .... pixels" option. looking forward to see this feature

I use this extension to disable auto-scroll after the last one I used stopped being distributed on chrome store. Right now I just set "Scroll if moving more than X pixels" to the size of my screen, which is fine but was just wondering if you could also make an option to just disable autoscroll completely and stop it from changing the mouse pointer to the scroll pointer. I simply find the feature annoying and would like it gone.
