Image from store Remove Breadcrumbs
Description from store Primarily created for SEOs, this extension removes the 'breadcrumbs' which replace URLs in search results and gives you back the full URL of the page you're trying to visit. This is incredibly useful when performing site:domain.com searches and you want to see if strange URLs appear in search results. There are other ways to extract URLs from search results of course but when you're just looking for quick issues and opportunities to fix things, this saves you from having to hover over URLs to see what they actually are. Latest reviews

  • (2021-02-15) B Middleton: It has made browsing the web a lot easier. Just a shame that there's no Firefox alternative.
  • (2020-09-16) Mia Trip: Doesn't work, please update it.
  • (2020-02-11) Pedro Macedo: It's broken these days.
  • (2020-01-16) Daniël: It works, but it currently makes a mess, as Google redesigned the search results slightly. The breadcrumbs are now above the search result, meaning the full url will now cut into the search results themselves with this extension, making it fairly unusable.
  • (2019-10-25) David Peake: Super-useful extension now that Google is more frequently testing breadcrumbs in the search results. Thanks to Glen for quickly making the extension compatible with google.com.au (along with a bunch of other Google TLDs) upon request.
  • (2019-09-19) Nick Samuel: It's become a must-have for any SEOs out there following Google's ongoing war with the humble URL. Such a simple idea with great execution. Side note: I was tempted to give 4 stars as there isn't a publicly available Firefox version but this would feel a bit uncharitable for a free plugin + irrelevant for a Chrome Store Review. And Glen is a good guy!
  • (2019-09-09) Ian Cunningham: Does what it says. Simple and effective.
  • (2019-08-22) Mark Rofe: Does exactly what it says it should do. Really useful, not sure where this has been all my life. You should download it too.

  • (2023-03-16, v:1.5.0) Batuhan ŞASI: The extension doesn't work with the new Google site name and favicon update (March 2023)
Hello, Thank you for this free extension first of all. It stopped working since the new Google desktop site name and favicon update. FYI Batu
  • (2023-01-09, v:1.5.0) Keri Young: Remove Breadcrumbs extension issues with Google's New Continuous Scrolling Feature
Recently (Dec 2022) Google changed its search results on desktop from individual pages to continuous scrolling. Search results will only load six pages of results before you need to click a button that says “More Results.” The issue I'm seeing is that the first page of results loads correctly with the breadcrumbs removed then the rest of the results (next 5 pages plus all of the other results shown after clicking all "More Results" buttons) continue to show the breadcrumb. Fingers crossed that you are able to get the plugin working again with Google's new way of displaying results.
  • (2021-07-18, v:1.5.0) Jacques Luong: features right side bar
Hi Guys, I am following the seo blueprint and installed breadcrumb plugin. But It doesn't display the features and options with the side bar. Thank you.
  • (2021-03-29, v:1.5.0) Luis Maia: .pt and Opera
Hello Glen, can "google.pt" be included? It does not work in Opera Browser after beeing imported from chrome extensions. This extension is very useful, thanks!
