• (2024-03-15) Julian Ottosen: The extension messes up layouts on TailwindCSS websites, affecting the user experience. Needs a fix for better compatibility.

Doesn't consider website's original colors at all, and the features I mention either disappear completely or have their colors very weirdly altered. Edit: Demoting from 3 stars to 1 star. I'm uninstalling this extension completely. Just having it sitting unused in my active extension collection breaks websites sometimes. This extension will somehow remove the navigation bar of a website! It did this for ristudentrentals.com and shoutout.io (once logged into my account)
• (2023-11-29) Andrew Heath: I was nearly about to reinstall windows because file and save as dialog boxes wouldn't open. Also savings anything is blocked by this extension. Javascript buttons to select and delete messages in web email etc, all blocked. Removing this solve my problem completely and now sites work.

• (2023-11-02) Bobby Hutter: This extension was at the top of the featured list when I was setting up my work environment. It works well enough - everyone else is just self-reporting skill issues (classic). But I deeply deeply missed a missing built in macro/hotkey to just effortlessly toggle it. & while it could be argued that the built-in time of day toggle addresses it, I just prefer being able to manually switch light/dark modes with a macro. I'd happily re-install after the addition of a customizable hotkey.
• (2023-11-02) Matticus M: While this seems to be the only extension in the chrome store that actually makes the entire page dark, it has some flaws that make navigation only possible because I have the buttons memorized on the site I need it for. The only things not turned black are text and hyperlinks, but if the text/hyperlink is imbedded in an element, such as the aforementioned button, then it is black as well.

• (2023-10-26) constant: This is so far the best dark mode extension I've gotten to but one problem I have been encountering is the glitch in google translate. Not sure if anyone else is subjected to this, but sometimes it is quite annoying. Overall, 5 stars, save for a small problem.
• (2023-10-25) Michael Linden: Causes some sites to lose all color formatting (like colors tied to Google Calendar entries, which is strange considering this is a chrome extension featured by Google). Causes some sites to infinitely stack content on transparent backgrounds, causing text overlap and immediate instability (such as opening emails one on top of the other infinitely rather than replacing one with the next). Completely unusable for me.
• (2023-10-24) Dominik Kozaczko: This is a joke. First, its own settings page is bright. Second, it works super poorly. Take GMail for easy example - big chunks of the site remain bright. Go with darkreader.org instead - works like charm out of the box and has tons of settings if you need to fine tune.

• (2023-10-17) Jatoxo: It works but there are a couple issues: -Sites that have a dark mode on their own are overridden with the extension's dark mode -A lot of styling is lost, like text color. Things have transparency when they shouldn't. Generally it messes up websites that aren't just text quite a bit -The on/off is global, not per website like it should. It should be disabled by default and with a click enable dark mode for the current website only
