  • (2020-10-06) Stanton McCandlish: Update (2020-11): This is no longer working very much. Most "Sponsored" listings now get through this filter, though I'm not seeing sidebar ads. I've switched to this one, which has been more effective so far, and also works on eBay: https://chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/ebay-amazon-adblocker-no/bpannmnkbjlkpkpbfdnebddnahhcankh Original review (early 2020): It DOES work, mostly. Whatever issues were happening last year, the extension is definitely blocking most ads at www.amazon.com (I don't know about .uk, .de, etc.) as of 2020-01. You'll still see "Amazon's Choice" and "Best Seller" flags, but these are actually useful. Same goes for some special, topical, third-party reviews through the Online Associates Program (e.g. Gear Hungry Editorial Recommendations, in the Electronics section sometimes). Arguably also useful. Regardless, the extension definitely nuked all the "Sponsored" spam in the search results, which were why I wanted such an ad blocker. (The front Amazon page is unaffected; the entire point of it is showing you a bunch of stuff, and anyone sensible doesn't spend more than a few seconds there, just long enough to input a search.) However, there is one serious flaw: The extension is NOT working at Smile.Amazon.com, so you cannot use this extension and Smile-related one (like Amazon Smile Redirect or Smile Always) at the same time, nor use Amazon Adblocker when at Smile by going there manually. That's a pretty serious problem, but probably not all that hard to fix.
  • (2020-06-27) Joseph Patrick: SO FAR SO GOOD! THANKS!

  • (2019-11-13) Michael DK: Does not seem to work anymore in nov. 2019 - sponsored links spammed across search results despite installation of this extensionl
  • (2019-09-24) Howard Schlossberg: It seems like the extension worked when I first got it a few months ago, but for at least the past couple months my Amazon results are completely smothered in "sponsored" listings.
  • (2019-07-09) Lu Emb: Does not work. Laptop Model: Dell Latitude E5470 Website: amazon.co.uk, Browser: Avast Secure Browser (like Chrome)
  • (2019-06-15) George Bradley: This extension "just works". Accept it and then reload the page. Sponsored items gone. Search results now appear at top. Amazon has really taken a turn in the gutter on sponsored listings * Sponsored items are too numerous. I don't want 3 rows of sponsored items * Amazon "buries" sponsored items throughout your search results now. (Items 1-10 might not be sponsered, but, usually the last few on the current page of results are. * Buried sponsored items have the word "sponsored" in a smaller font then the rest of the item description on the search page. * Buried sponsored items show when they don't match search criteris. I searched light bulbs and ordered by price. You guessed it. Sponsored items showed up with prices that weren't in their place in the order. Thank you Alon for this extension!

  • (2020-01-24, v:0.51) Stanton McCandlish: Smile
Please, for the love of God, or the Gods, or the Universe, make this work properly with Amazon Smile. Yours is the only otherwise-properly functioning Amazon ad-blocker, but it cannot be used with Amazon Smile Redirect or Smile Always installed.
  • (2019-06-30, v:0.51) Ren Xu: Wrong access URL for smile.amazon.com
Thank you for the awesome extension! The extension doesn't work on https://smile.amazon.com because the access URL was wrong. Please update https://www.smile.amazon.com/* with https://smile.amazon.com/*. Thanks!
  • (2019-06-24, v:0.51) Kento Kawaguchi: "https://www.smile.amazon.com" won't work because that URL doesn't exist.
Instead it should be ""https://smile.amazon.com". Thanks in advance.
