In "Tonight Show" hosted by Jimmy Fallon on October 2, 2018, he announced that he had written "sunflower" and performed a short paragraph of the song. On October 15th, Swae Lee revealed that he would also perform the song as a guest artist and release a clip that was not the song. Swae Lee said that people will be very happy to hear this song.
