Una delle caratteristiche uniche di Riddr, oltre alle scorciatoie di controllo predefinite come: Leggi (𝗔𝗹𝘁+𝗥), Pausa (𝗔𝗹𝘁+𝗣), Stop (𝗔𝗹𝘁+𝗦), è la possibilità di avere più scorciatoie da tastiera collegate a diversi motori/voci TTS in diverse lingue, il che rende Riddr non solo facile da usare ma anche molto divertente. Nuove scorciatoie possono essere aggiunte e configurate molto facilmente tramite il pannello delle opzioni.

Il pannello delle opzioni facile da usare ti dà un enorme controllo sulla tua estensione Riddr e ti dà la possibilità di aggiungere il tuo tocco personale. Ecco un elenco di alcune delle opzioni disponibili:
Personalizza il livello del volume, la velocità di lettura e l'intonazione della voce;
Predefinisci la tua lingua preferita;
Trascrivi un elenco di parole e come vuoi che vengano pronunciate (ideale per la sicurezza di insegnanti e studenti);
Abilita la modalità di selezione automatica, quando è attiva estrae automaticamente il testo leggibile dal sito web e lo legge per te;
Opzione di lettura automatica, che consente ai proprietari di siti web di definire quale contenuto deve essere letto quando qualcuno entra nel loro sito web, con questa funzione attivata. Molto utile per le persone con difficoltà visive.

- (2025-03-07) 2025 update: At first I had trouble finding the extension, as the developer decided to rebrand it. Instead of SpeakIt it is called Riddr now, I liked Speakit better (just the name). SpeakIt was buggy occasionally, but I got used to it and worked just fine for me. However Riddr is 10x improvement over the old extension, the speaking dont interupts as before, simplified UI, I love the ability pick paragraph to be read by clicking on it <3 And the options page, oh god, custom shortcuts is that I waited for! P.S. the controls pause/start work from my airpods

Tried highlighting other pieces of text but the same happened. Very cool idea and nice speech voice, but this issue makes it unusable.
