- כוונון עוצמת הקול, קצב הדיבור וגובה הקול;
- הגדרת שפה מועדפת מראש;
- תמלול מילים מסוימות עם הגייה מותאמת אישית (מעולה למורים ובטיחות תלמידים);
- הפעלת מצב בחירה אוטומטית – שולף וקורא טקסטים קריאים מאתרים;
- מצב קריאה אוטומטי – מאפשר לבעלי אתרים לציין איזה תוכן יוקרא אוטומטית עם כניסת המשתמש, לשיפור נגישות.

- Only has the most robotic Microsoft voices and lacks any mode of control once it starts reading besides pause, you can't make it skip or control where it's reading, short of stopping the whole thing and starting it again. To change anything like the speed you have to right click the extension and open options which also opens the extensions window, super annoying and cumbersome. The robot voices and total lack of access to control is the cause for my low score.

- If u cant select a language in riddr options , switch to shortcuts tab and add one (couldnt change combination, just add more till u find one u like and delete the rest), then select your language. Mark the text youd like to have read, press shortcut combination and Enjoy!

- Had it for less than 3 hours and it won't read more than a short paragraph at a time. It doesn't give options to read the whole page or to highlight what I need read. It spins for several minutes just to read 2 sentences, not even the whole paragraph. So far the only good thing about it is I can understand what it says and it's free...

- i am absolutely loving, i did find a bug tho where the accent of the spoken language even tho set to english changes to a thick heavy alternative accent for short sentences or trying to pronounce words, wont stop me from using the extention tho, great work on making something helpful for dumb readers like myself (update): giving this 5 stars now after running into a bug i contacted the dev and they fixed it quickly, i highly recommend trying this even if the reviews may not look promising

- Writing this in 2025, and I've been using this extension since 2017 and I still use it almost every day — seriously, it's that good. It’s one of those tools you install once and then wonder how you ever lived without it. The voices sound great, it’s super easy to use, and it saves me so much time and energy. Whether I’m reading articles, long emails, or anything else, I just hit the button and listen. After all these years, I’m still sooo happy with it. Huge thanks to the devs for keeping it solid all these years. You’ve made something truly great, that really lasts! 🙌

- I originally had used Read Aloud but once that broke in April, I switched to this after seeing a comment about it. However, starting today, the extension now stops reading after about 3 - 4 sentences of a paragraph. Disappointed because this extension was much, much better than Read Aloud because it was able to actually read the entire page without stopping midway between sentences or creating awkward gaps like Read Aloud. Hopefully this extension gets fixed soon too because it's my favorite by far.

- It will only read about 10 words then suddenly stops for some reason. I cant find anything online showing how to fix it.

- Apparently SpeakIt has become Riddr now. Don't like the new name, however the new extension is WOW! Reads perfectly, its free and no account needed, I hope it will stay like that!

- 2025 update: At first I had trouble finding the extension, as the developer decided to rebrand it. Instead of SpeakIt it is called Riddr now, I liked Speakit better (just the name). SpeakIt was buggy occasionally, but I got used to it and worked just fine for me. However Riddr is 10x improvement over the old extension, the speaking dont interupts as before, simplified UI, I love the ability pick paragraph to be read by clicking on it <3 And the options page, oh god, custom shortcuts is that I waited for! P.S. the controls pause/start work from my airpods

- I highlighted a three line parragraph and it only converted to speech a single sentence. It even stopped after finishing it. Tried highlighting other pieces of text but the same happened. Very cool idea and nice speech voice, but this issue makes it unusable.

- this extension is handy someone sent me a website that had a lot of reading to do, i used speak it and listened to speak it read the website was way better to have it read it to me then read it myself, i did not feel like reading the whole article, so it was nice to have speak it read it to me

- One of the worst ones ever created. when it dose work. 1 out of 99% of the time it good. But for the 99% of the time it fails or it read or reads everything like this. The plus plus of the plus plus is plus plus plus plus plus plus and so the plus plus is plus plus and plus plus plus plus plus plus......... What a useless thing someone has created. It could not even read this post. Do not bother wasting your time in using this.

- After I installed the extension, it redirected me to its settings page and the point that made me to put 1-star raring is that it was only using my computer's TTS (Windows 10 Pro) and not more as shown in the screenshots.

- Speakit! v0.2.92 был хорош, затем всё хуже и хуже. Убрали поддержку сторонних голосов вообще напрасно. Раньше хоть в 32bit-ной версии нормальные движки поддерживались Теперь стало совсем плохо. Снесу наверное. Буду искать что-то другое.

- it's awesome you can change voice in extention option. you can add keyboard shortcut in chrome://extensions/shortcuts for it then just highlight words and then press your keyboard shortcut then extension will read it

- Пытаюсь пользоваться этим расширением много лет. Но постоянные глюки. Хочет читает, хочет нет. Постоянно слетают настройки. Как можно быть таким криворуким? Кофе упился разработчик что-ли?
