Description from store Chrome Managed Data Cleanup (CMDC) is a Chrome extension which aids admins in bulk user Chrome data cleanup. How often have you told users to "delete your cache and cookies" in order to resolve a browser issue? CMDC automates the cleanup process for your users. Admins can automatically empty users cache, history and cookie data. To use CMDC, an administrator must force install the extension for users and configure the app policy. See details at https://github.com/jay0lee/cmdc.

Here's a similar extension I discovered that always works and enhances the performance of our applications. https://chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/clean-cache-cookies-histo/jcjbmjhjgflfbcilklndgmhgampgdmnk

  • (2019-04-04, v:1.46) Horus Luviman: Policies do not show up at the Chrome Manage Data Cleanup and only work once
Hi Developer, Problem: I did as the explanation in the GitHub site says, install the extension manually first to set the policies and download the JSON file and then enforce the extension and deploy the JSON file from the Admin console. Indeed the extension works the next time I reboot the device, there is no history, but it does not work the next time I sign out and sign back in, even refreshing the policies many times and rebooting the device the history is there. Also when access chrome://policy at the bottom it appears the section 'Chrome Manage Data Cleanup' but there is no policy set there, I thought the JSON file content should be displayed there but it does not. Question: In the extension options, in the General data types to clear it appears the option Local storage, I added that option too and tested in a Chromebook in version 73.0.3683.88 and the local storage in the download folder remains there even after the history got deleted the first time. Does this option work to delete the Chromebook local storage? Suggestion: This extension would be great if it can report the user's history in a CSV file as this is necessary sometimes for some organizations.
