Filters out unwanted artists/images while browsing on Furaffinity.net
Ever been browsing all the great art on FurAffinity and come across something you didn't like? Yeah, me too. So I made this.
Welcome to Filter Affinity!
It filters out content based on artist names and keywords in the submission titles and short descriptions on the Home, Browse, Gallery and Search pages. If you wish to always display artwork by a certain artist, their names can be whitelisted to do just that.
Hovering over a submission thumbnail will show a Add/Remove option box. Clicking the plus(+) symbol adds the artist's name to the filter list automatically. Clicking the minus(-) symbol removes the artist from the filter list.
You can also filter by the submission rating, and even just block out the entire submission or just hide the thumbnail! Easy!
No longer worry about scarring your eyes with material you'd rather not stumble across. Try out Filter Affinity today!

Rest in peace fella. Your extension was probably the most useful thing probably ever to be added to that website. But of course, Google had to take away a wonderful piece of you left behind in this world. This was the only extension that worked to entirely hide accounts and uploads that you were able to set yourself. (This doesn't work anymore, obviously.)
FYI: This will probably never be updated, the creator passed away.
This has been a big help in the meantime until FurAffinity actually fixes their blocking system, and it has been working absolutely perfect... up until today unfortunately. I click the + to add an artist to my filter list, but it doesn't do anything nor does it give me a notification. I go to manually add the person to my blacklist filter, I save and it gives me a notification that the data has been saved. I refresh the page or go to the browse section of FA, but the person & their art is still visible. I think the extension finally needs updating, especially since it might get removed since it "doesn't follow best practices for Chrome extensions."
Picked up this filter to get rid of the disgusting things some furries love, for example, people that get off on scat. Literally jerking themselves off to fecal matter. It's absolutely disgusting and i'm tired of seeing it on a platform that is meant for artistic growth and exploration (with some porn yes,) however it is absolutely disgusting to sit there and be subjected to every single users whims on the front page without filtering or tagging rules. Noticing some of the reviews here and 90% of them are from user error, the tagging system doesnt work because FA doesnt enforce their tagging system, so 99% of the time the stuff you are blocking isnt going to be blocked via just tags. If you are seeing stuff from an artist on FA that you dislike, 9/10 the rest of their gallery is going to be the same, so add them to the filter and forget about them all together. Once these guys are surrounded by eachother, we can finally be happy the freaks are gone. Fur affinity refuses to add it's own tagging system, so we are forced to use a 3rd party program that does it for us.
While it doesn't filter out by tags, which would be ideal, the ability to block out certain keywords in titles as well as artists entirely is very helpful. Definitely improves the Furaffinity browsing experience!

Whenever I use FA, I am fortunate to have a program that allows me to block pictures that I do not want to see even at a minimum. It would be better to keep fixing it to a better version.

Kinda disapointed that its so limited in scope. Why does it only work on the home, browse, and search pages? It should also work in gallery pages or watched pages since some users have eclectic tastes and I want to see some of their stuff, but not the stuff I want filtered out. EDIT: Looks like it does work in gallery pages too, though it should also work in watch lists. Though, the filter by keyword in titles is not working, which is why I thought it didnt work in galleries. EDIT2: ok, looks like it works for keywords, only if you are blocking an artist first. So block a dead account like "Nip"

It works... about half the time. I'm still seeing a lot of what I don't wanna see. There really needs to be a way to block by tag; blocking by artist really seems overkill.

not as helpful as i was hoping for (i wanna be able to filter tags but this cant do that) but at least it might catch the few posts that have the bad thing in the title of their work. at least i can spare my eyes from those.

I like this but is it possible to filter stuff in there gallery when your on there page? also is it possible to block there tags and the "Type" of picture it is?

It works. But only for main page. It doesn't filter journals or submissions. Which makes this plugin pretty much useless.
Broken, broken, broken. The icon is permanently greyed out on the Chrome toolbar, so I can't access it to change settings. Even tried removing it and restoring it, but it didn't fix anything.
