Easily remove Facebook stories and rooms section from top of your news feed by installing this tiny add-on for Google Chrome.

• How it works
Simple CSS rules will hide Facebook stories and rooms section on top of your news feed.
• Is it secure?
Yes – pure JS, no frameworks involved, no reading of your data, no ads.
• How do I use it?
Just install and activate add-on in Chrome. Afterwards refresh Facebook page in order add-on will take effect.
• Can I turn sections individially on or off (show/hide)?
Yes – both sections stories and rooms are hidden by default. Just go to "extension options" or visit option settings page by clicking on the add-on icon in your browser. Make your changes, save and afterwards refresh Facebook page in order new settings will take effect.

Simply works. Thank you TOMDENKT Agency! I would have a suggestion. I would very much appreciate the option of checkboxes to hide either Stories, or Rooms, or both. Stories I appreciate, it is the Rooms that I find bothersome.

Love, love, love...I have HATED that stupid "Story" concept of FB's since its inception...but, FB can NEVER admit it made a mistake, especially with things that some "crack marketing team" has convinced them will make BILLIONS more dollars for FB!!! So, Stories keeps showing up, like an unsavory and unwanted guest on my couch, the first thing I see when opening FB, taking up the top 1/3 of my News Feed with pix/links that I will NEVER click on! Howz 'dat for true marketing Genius! Vote with your feet people, install this extension and walk away from that annoying "Stories" section taking up the top third of your News Feed.
It got rid of the stories and that's great! BUT now my feed just flashes and won't load and jumps around within the feed and I hate that part! I might just quit Fb altogether. So sick of it!
It's great though, not as much as it was before, sometimes the extension does not work and FB stories still appear but reinstalling the extension usually fixes this. I hope this gets fixed REAL.

it works, but as you scroll down through facebook, some stories may still appear. but never at the top of the page. YAS

It's not my area of expertise to evaluate this extension on the efficiency or using computer resources or some other technical aspects. But FROM THE USER'S END -IT WORKS!!! And it's fantastic! When I had only one story, that was not updated, I cold tolerate it, but couple of days ago it became two and today - it's full screen! I could not stand it anymore! Thanks a lot for the extension!,
