Share your computer's screen from one Chrome browser to another
Cast for Education allows you to turn your computer into a wireless projector for screen sharing from another device. Just install the extension, give your device a name, and invite your students to cast.
Teachers: Download this extension to set up your device for wireless screen sharing. If you are unable to download the extension, check with your school administrator.
Students: Simply cast to your teacher's screen name from your Chrome browser. You don't need this extension to cast.

Doenst work, not sure why they limit this to G accounts. Just want to be able to cast off my phone and onto my computer so I can plug it into HDMI and have it on a TV that doesn't have chromecast...

I use to use this extension regularly. I really enjoyed using it. I would take my web pages and directly cast them to any TV that had a chromecast. I have been crazy working lately and now that I have a minute to play with this (I use to use this ALLL THE TIME) I can't cast anything!! this is very frustrating!! This isn't what I had before. I don't need to share my desktop to any other desktop. I just want to share it with my Chrome Cast. Any ideas on what I can use now? Or any ideas on how what I'm missing??

nous ouvre une page pour nous informer qu'il faut se connecter à chrome avec mon navigateur (brave), donc me propose un bouton qui est censé me renvoyer à une page de connexion, mais cette dernière n'existe pas (chrome://chrome-signin/)
With my non-education account, I'm supposed to be able to cast if I'm logged in with the same account on another device, but that doesn't work. I am not sure if this extension will provide any functionality to me at all. Also, it just doesn't make sense why an education account is necessary. If I can cast to a Chromecast, why not my PC? My guess is DRM getting in the way of paying customers yet again. Also, not sure why it needs access to all websites I have open.
Let's be honest, the only reason this is restricted is so Google can sell Chromecasts to people who don't need them.
Installed and you need to sing-in. But de page chrome://chrome-signin/ give an error ERR_INVALID_URL. Get the same error after re-install chrome.

Totalnie nieporozumienie. Po instalacji i uruchomieniu nic się nie dzieje. Nie przesyła obrazu na tv albo ja coś nie kumam. Ta wtyczka to albo dla wtajemniczonych albo bubel

I've uninstalled Google Cast for Education browser extension on this Mac but in Cast menu in Chrome I still see instance of this Google Cast for Education. How can I delete it?

Google, please make a version for non-educational purposes. It sucks that a can't use this to turn my PC into a Chromecast-device, so i can control it via my Google Home Mini. You really need to make an app for that. Please!

I enjoy using this for lessons, but since it updated, it's not working for me once I name my receiver.
This extension could be universally useful for reasons outside of Education. Even if not provided for consumer accounts, at least for GSuite paid accounts.

If I can't get it to work at home, then I'm certainly not giving it a try in a school/work situation. Simple cast from Android to Win8.1 with the same google account does not work.
Doesn't allow for any device to cast which is what I was looking for. At one time that might have been how it worked as I found a guide on how to cast from any device to your computer, and this was the extension used.
