Have you ever used Jira? Have you ever edited a work item in Jira and somehow pressed the Escape key? If you have, then you have seen the horror of losing whatever you typed in there.
After seeing a good colleague of mine fall victim to this trap and lose quite some work and motivation, I decided that if Atlassian won't fix this issue for now, might as well just circumvent it.

- (2019-03-05) Bart de Boer: Works great on the old view; does NOT work on the new issue view, which is a good thing as in the new view, while escape closes the editor without saving, re-opening it right away DOES give you back your changes right away!
