An extension to save scroll position of a webpage

Image from store Scrroll In
Description from store ✨ What's new - - You can now save upto 20 scroll positions for any page and manage (get, update and delete) them individually. - Added an opt-in to show toasts when performing actions with a scrroll for better UX (Experimental). You must have been in a situation wherein you are reading a long article but you don't have enough time to finish it so you close the tab, and the next time you open the article again, you have no idea where you left it. Well not anymore, with this extension you can save the scroll position of the page and then revisit the page at any time to continue where you left. I know that there are other extensions similar to this, but most of them either don't work reliably or lack the features mentioned below - 🤹 Color changing icon The icon changes color whenever the extension detects that you have already saved a scroll position for a page. ✨ Sleek UI Ability to add, remove, update or delete the scroll position directly from the popup menu. 💾 Unlimited Storage Under the hood this extension uses chrome's local storage API, so you'll never run out of storage for your articles. 🤳 View all your saved scrrolls An options page to view all your saved pages, with the percentage of the page completed. 📜 Completely free and open source Scrroll In was and will always be free to use and open source. Feel free to open an issue for feature request or bug report on the issues page on Github

  • (2023-05-14) Tom Jackson: This plugin is very user-friendly and responsive, but there is one issue (or rather, a suggestion): there is no way to synchronize, meaning that when logged in on different devices, you can only see the locally saved settings and cannot access the settings from other computers.
  • (2023-04-26) Matteo Bianchini: the best i could find right now

  • (2022-06-30) CC W: Save me a lot of time to scroll for our wall screen. Thank you so~~~~~ much
  • (2022-06-11) Code Owl: While this extension is great, it would be brilliant if you could do a quick temp save and retrieve, withing having to name it or save it longer than you are on the page. I am often researching and need to scroll around long pages. When I am reading something and I do a Ctrl+F to find something else in the page and then I wanna jump back to where I was. In these cases, which happen all the time, I don't need to name the scroll position, or even save it longer than I am on the page. I just want a quick hot key to mark it and another to jump back to it. Just like Ctr+_ does in Visual Studio. Adding this feature would turn this great extension into to a brilliant extension!!
  • (2022-03-12) A P: great extension, thank you
  • (2022-01-17) Captain Nim Hu: Super easy and works a charm. Thank you so much! I have no idea why this is not an official Google feature, it is so handy to have. Life saver thank you
  • (2021-10-03) Pat MySecret: This is SO fast and efficient that I had to set a pause location because the blog wouldn't load if I went directly to it. (I don't know if that creates a problem for many.. maybe a slow scroll option is needed?) I love that it can name and set more than one scroll point.
  • (2021-09-30) Dry Dessert: Does not work anymore. Previously worked 70% of the time.
  • (2021-09-01) Thu Duong: It works fine on other sites, but on the site I need it doesn't work: https://shopee.vn/
  • (2021-08-01) 1 2: I want to thank the developer for having fixed this extension. Not sure if it was because of my feedback I typed when uninstalling it, but it now works properly on wheeldecide.com , which was the main place where I used this extension. The other extensions aren't as good or reliable, so I'm glad this one exists. Please keep it like this, at least at its core functionality. It works perfectly. Thank you and Great Job!
  • (2021-06-26) Streetk53: Latest update completely broke the extensions. It doesn't fetch the scroll and it breaks the page. Good job!
  • (2021-06-14) Catlike: It works great and is exactly what I was looking for. But can you make an option so that it doesn't automatically scroll down to a saved point whenever I enter a site, but scrolls only when I click a button?
  • (2021-05-04) Marcus B.: Works great as promised (at least as long as the browser window size is the same). Thank you for that! :) A feature idea from my side would be to save the position of a marked text which was selected before saving the scroll position. Scrolling to and highlighting this textfragment after restoring the tab would be my dream solution.
  • (2021-04-13) Mrinal Roy Chowdhury: doesnt seem to be working for pdf file
  • (2021-04-10) Paul Thompson: Works perfect!
  • (2021-03-29) Руслан Белов: Does what it should!
  • (2021-02-08) Joma Bastos G P: Great!
  • (2020-11-19) Jad OS: Excellent and very useful extension. I've been searching all over for an extension that remembers scroll position. it works as intended and scrolls to the same spot I was in and saves the position. 5 Stars!
  • (2020-10-15) Gilles Gilles: Works for me ; well done ; yet I would like to navigate from tab to tab#myscroll (not only navigate inside single page). Thank you.
  • (2020-03-12) Shikhar Saxena: Was trying to find an extension that does exactly this, great app.
  • (2020-03-05) Frank D.: The only extension of its kind that does what it says and just works. Never mind the top-placing review by Aliez. I tend towards as simple as possible... but the way this extension is set up is fantastic. A feature request: I set up a Chrome keyboard shortcut to activate the extension... and to keep it mouse-free, it'd be great once the extension is activated to be able to hit "F", "U" or "D" to select one of the 3 options.
  • (2020-02-20) Alexander Tu: Great extension, works as advertised. Have tried a few similar extensions and this one finally works very smoothly. Great work. Only suggestion (if it's still possible): the name is pretty difficult to google, the SEO makes it impossible to find. Only stumbled upon this extension via producthunt
  • (2019-11-21) Aliez Nicola: It works fine. But I think there can be improvement in user experience. 1. I don't need fetch\update options. Just an icon to make users know that current page's scroll position has been saved is enough. 2. Auto remember position is better so that users don't need to click save button. Besides, some people may forget to click that button. 3. I think the page showing users' saved scroll bookmarks is redundant. This extension aims at remembering page scroll position, not saving bookmarks for users. Browser's bookmark feature supports that already. This extension's purpose is just to help users remember their position in a webpage. It should be as simple as possible.
  • (2019-11-13) Gem Hunter: This extension works fine, and is as user friendly as it can be, with the limited storage space Google offers for scroll bookmarks. rated 2 star, because I saw it advertised on other people's scroll bookmarker extensions, with a referral link.
  • (2019-10-26) Robin Sharma: I have tried many other similar extensions previously but believe me when I say that, this is the only extension that works.
  • (2019-10-24) aaryan sharma: Awesome extension! Comes in handy a lot of times when you cannot finish an article.
  • (2019-10-21) Julie L.: Works no better than the other extension I tried. Scrolls down a little bit, but nowhere near the point that I saved.
