Anonymous 2026-02-19: Was using BetterCanvas for years and absolutely loved it! I now love what they've done with BetterCampus, but I am struggling with actually being able to use it. I am not sure if my university blocked the extension (because I was able to use it before) or if it's a different problem. It won't let me log in with my school email but I can with my regular gmail (yet it still doesn't work when I do that and constantly logs out). Very upset that this is happening cause this really helped me be on top of my assignments :( Edit: Jakes input fixed my problem! still can't use my school email to log in (most likely a problem on my schools end) however it works with my personal email! Thank you! Love the new update :)

Anonymous 2026-02-18: I used to really like this extention. They have now over complicated it and made it incredably complicated to edit anything. To edit the phots of your canvas you must now edit everything there is no option to just change one thing. Also randone things are edited like the background of just my dashboard button on my side bar. This would be su much better if they kept the older style. Also having to make an accout to do anything is very anoying. My school doest alow us to make accouts so i am working with limited options. I whole heartedly belive that the old/ Better Canvas was better in all parts.

Anonymous 2026-02-17: This extension is great, however TO THE ADMIN TEAM, I'm currently wondering if it is possible to get this extension to work on my city colleges infrastructure. It looks exactly like canvas, however when I try to activate the extension it says "Head to Canvas to activate BetterCampus". If anyone is able to reach out to me, I would be able to answer more questions if this explanation isn't thorough.
Anonymous 2026-02-17: Personally, I don't like this new update to better campus. It is supposed to be for students to enjoy being on their canvas a bit more with their themes. At least that's the reason I used it. Now, they are simply trying to limit the amount of times we can change the themes. Also, the other version "better canvas" was easier to navigate the overall settings.

Anonymous 2026-02-14: Has some flagrant issues; otherwise an indispensable extension that's superior to regular Canvas in every metric. Issues that must be fixed though - extension downloadable for MS Edge and Brave - support for syncing with calendar; currently I am stuck on a loading screen for both my browsers and price says "$NaN/month" - smoother interface...extremely laggy and slow when navigating Overall an amazing extension, but the lack of support for other browsers, specifically with regard to GCal/MS Cal settings, restricts it from receiving 5-stars from me.
Anonymous 2026-02-13: Holy smokes the default graphic design choices when making a custom theme are appalling. I tend to like a white background on Canvas. Unfortunately, when making a theme like that, the shadows when you hover on a card are incredibly sharp and unnatural looking. The shadow intensity should be customizable. Also, why does the entire box darken to nearly black when hovering over an item in "modules"? And why can't we customize the roundness of the big ugly borders in the modules section to begin with?
Anonymous 2026-02-12: Is nice to change things about canvas, makes you pay money to change some of the cosmetic stuff and super sucks about using Ai and it wont let me zoom out of my screen which is super annoying but other than that it's cool i guess.

Anonymous 2026-02-09: I loved the old program, but this new one is awful. The overhaul on design has made it majorly clunky, it seems there was no bug testing prior to launch and now it just feels like a slimy way to make money off of college students. It is inaccessible with a screen reader, buttons don't work, it is incredibly intrusive and distracting from my college work. I get the name change but this is utterly useless now.
Anonymous 2026-02-08: I downloaded, uninstalled, it reinstalled it over 5 times, as well as clearing my cache and restarting my mac, and nothing is working! It updates my canvas to the "better canvas" version then disappears after 2 seconds then I get a message saying "head to Canvas to activate" when I am in my canvas! I have also updated the extension using your link!

Anonymous 2026-02-05: I love being able to change the theme of my canvas classes, but here recently anytime I go to the themes tab it brings up a little tab saying "there was a problem getting themes from the bettercanvas server". It shows the old themes that were there when I first installed it last year. It does not show any of the new or updated themes that is said were added.

Anonymous 2026-02-04: Awesome so far! I've only tried the free version so I dont know how good the study aid or any other premium features are but all of the free stuff is great! I mostly got this to have a dark mode so my eyes didn't get so destroyed from staying up late doing schoolwork. but the other theming options were more in depth then I expected. Its also super nice seeing my completion of assignments and what's due at a glace which is very nice. I also would be interested in trying premium if it wasn't a monthly fee of $15 I personally would rather just to pay once but I know pretty much everything is a subscription now days. but if then ever did a non-subscription model I would probably give it a try

Anonymous 2026-02-02: As a PA student with exams pretty much every week, time is always tight. Tools like BetterCampus honestly make a huge difference by taking some of the pressure off studying, especially when there’s no time to make detailed quizlets or study guides. The team behind it is also super responsive with bugs and quick fixes, which I really appreciate. Whoever came up with this idea is a genius. I genuinely wish something like this existed when I was in undergrad, it would’ve meant way more time for friends and family.

Anonymous 2026-02-01: Can't say enough how much I love the new update. Perfect for people with ADHD because it makes me love to open up my canvas. The new study and task tools are also super helpful and amazing.
Anonymous 2026-02-01: I've been using this extension for almost two years now, and I really love being able to have a more customizable interface. However, with this update, my entire Canvas is super buggy and is causing lots of issues. The biggest example right now that I've noticed is whenever I'm opening an pdf file, the entire interface changes from what it was originally, making it rather annoying to suddenly have to relearn the interface to a website where it's not that interface when standing by itself. A lot of the pdf files I can not open to full screen anymore, and it'll just glitch out and refuse to open. It also automatically opens up the AI study tool, making the entire screen more cluttered than it is. I also find it interesting that you can only change your theme 3 times per week now, I don't recall this being in the old version. I just find this new update to cause more clutter than necessary on my Canvas. While there are a lot of nice new features, I just found the old version more straightforward and less in your face.
Anonymous 2026-01-31: Ive recently downloaded this extension and in the beginning it was working perfectly fine. It was showing me my assignments, announcements, and I was able to change the theme to my liking. Even going as far as spending hours to create my own personal theme. Problems started to occur when I had opened another canvas tab and it hadn't loaded and showed up as the set canvas default. I first tried clicking the extension only for it to say "Head to Canvas to activate BetterCampus!". I tried opening another canvas tab and sit nothing. I was like okay fine whatever let me delete it and redownload it and see if that works. It began working slightly because now I can at least see the font changes, color changes and the background but my cards aren't working, and none of the other features like the to-dos are working. I tried over and over again but nothing and another problem was that the minute I clicked one of my classes the entire theme would just go away and reset back to canvas default. Its currently on version 8.0.1 and I don't know what else to do to fix it this app seems to have great potential but these bugs that are happening completely ruin the main features.
Anonymous 2026-01-30: the new overhaul has introduced friction with this new update, which i find uncessasary. the paywalls are annoying, the ui is obnoxious and in your face, and it's just overall a worse user experience. i understand what the developers were going for, but most people just want to change colors and add some custom card images

Anonymous 2026-01-27: Please bring back the old BetterCanvas, I just want to change my canvas card photos without changing everything. Also it is harder to use now, the old one was more straightforward. Every time I create a theme, something is off and I can't fix it and now I don't even have any "remixes" :| Or it would be nice to add an update so we don't have to create a new theme to just change the card photos. I don't want to customize everything I just want to customize the card and the cards only. Whenever I try to make a theme and to just change the cards, it changes other things automatically, for example the side bar and text colors. There is also a small little bug when I am looking at slideshows (not in fullscreen) and it gets rid of the top bar that shows us the page we're on, to zoom in/out, and to make it full screen. I have to refresh the page to get it back which loses my slide position. Please bring back the old version for people who prefer that one please.
Anonymous 2026-01-26: I like the updates, but my custom links under each class now will not show the discussion, files, announcements, assignments buttons. I've updated and reset it many times. The colors also do not match under the calendar tab vs. what I have selected for each course.
Anonymous 2026-01-26: This is a must have for students, I am never saying that teams is better than canvas ever again with this extension, even if it has a paid subscription tier that locks some features. This alone makes stock canvas an actual suite of productivity for students of both high school and college. There are the occasional bugs but overall, this extension alone is so good you forget they even exist.
