Turbo Downloader for Instagram adds a button to every Instagram post, Reel, and Story so you can quickly and easily download anything while browsing Instagram. The “Download All” button added to Instagram accounts lets you bulk download all their posts in one click.
NOTE: Please reload your Instagram tabs after installing or updating to load the extension.
While browsing Instagram, just hover over a post preview and click the download button to save it. If there are multiple images/videos in the post, they’ll all be saved.
If you’re looking at a post or Reel, check next to the bookmark and share icons for the download button, or try the hotkey Ctrl + Shift + D or Cmd + Shift + D.
A story can be saved with the download button in the top right corner.
When downloading an entire Instagram account, you’ll be prompted to choose a folder. A new folder will be created inside that folder with the name of the account being downloaded. Images and videos will appear in that folder as soon as they get downloaded. For future account downloads, files with the same name in that folder will be skipped.

- (2025-06-10) Casper Lars Karlsson: It can download a whole profile and everything, I tried using Image Search addon on Chrome but honestly that would take forever. Luckily this seems to work perfectly, the videos and images all can be downloaded so easily. I would like to add I haven't used it for an extended amount of time so I don't know if there's ads or a time limit like many websites I've tried in the past. But works right now out of the box, without paying for a preimum features or rank!

For example, when trying to download everything, only the posts from the Instagram profile post section are getting downloaded, the posts from the reels section are not getting downloaded and finally the highlights of the stories are also not getting downloaded. Please try to bring a new version or update of it as soon as possible, many people have submitted a complete report of this problem in your review section, I hope you will find some solution to this problem soon. Your extension deserves a 5/5 star rating but there are some problems with it. I have suggested this extension to many of my friends and cousins and their experience with this extension has also been very good. It is easy to use as compared to other extensions.

- (2025-04-18) Devon Dassaw: Some people have no lives and would rather ratings bomb a good extension. The extension works as of April 18, 2025 at 3:56 PM Eastern. Some profiles won't show the "Download All" button unless you're following that account. I just realized that. You ALSO have to make sure the folder the extension is set to download to actually EXISTS, otherwise it won't download. It is spelling and punctuation sensitive. I don't work for/with those who maintain this extension. But let me also add, you should NOT have to download any other browser, including Brave. I'm using MacOS. But I'll check this on Windows to see what happens. Some folks are reporting a notice to download Brave. That sounds like these individuals may have viruses or infections on their machines not associated with this extension. Lastly, let me just say the reason I'm writing all of this is becaause it is annoying when good extensions get taken down from Chrome, and Firefox doesn't have the best alternatives. Then I'm forced to go into Bash, Python or NPM to download and that is an even bigger headache. We should be decent people and support what works, and be honest and vocal about bad extensions and bad actors, instead of jeopardizing the community. Turbo Downloader has consistently been one of the better extensions.

- (2025-04-13) GamerSavvy: Immediately uninstalled before fully using the extension. It was asking me to enable Brave's setting for "File System Access API" which shouldn't be required. An extension like this one should prompt with a "Save As" window, which is exactly what the next extension I installed is capable of. The message I got was via a pop-up (new tab) asking to specify a local "Accounts download folder - Account folders will be created inside this folder." With the details following: "Could not browse for folder. If you are using Brave, please make sure the "File System Access API" experiment is enabled before trying again."
