• (2025-05-10) Jonathan: Serves the main purpose of preventing idiot web developers from making scrollbars invisible or too thin, causing wrist/eye strain and blocking invaluable information like the size of the webpage, current position, and markers that tell you exactly where searched text is located via ctrl-f. Minus two stars because it doesn't simply let you use the default chrome scrollbar appearance.

I have brutal cataracts, and this helps so much. (I hope that this isn't too cheeky, but in case it helps other people, I want to mention another extension that helps with vision issues: "V7 Gmail Zoom")
• (2025-03-12) Gaurav: An absolute lifesaver for anyone with common sense still left in user interface design. Google Chrome tried their best to destroy scrollbars but this web extensions bring back sane and usable scroll bars. Am eternally grateful to its developer.
• (2025-02-18) Alex Banx: It did what I wanted it to do. I choose the width of the scrollbar (entered 20px). I needed this for WordPress, the scrollbar was so thin I couldn't grab it, it would just switch to the page scaler cursor, even at over 100% zoomed out. This fixed WordPress issue. The extension works as it says.

• (2024-04-12) Sabrina Ergert: The scrollbar that is created by this extension is really beautiful to look at and is exactly what a scrollbar should look like for me. Unfortunately, on YouTube it is not displayed properly on the side when you scroll through the videos that are offered to you and on the other side it is the same when you scroll through your subscriptions. The scrollbar is extremely narrow in both cases and its barely visible arrows.

The first problem is, even when set to not allow sites to override, it does nothing on extension pages nor the Chrome Web store. Some others seem to have partial effect - the Flathub.org site the colors are different. It's not terrible but not working on extension / system pages is. When Chrome is set to dark mode the scrollbars are invisible - all dark. On this page for example they are two shades of grey and nearly impossible to see but my prefs are set to light grey with a light blue thumb tab. My home page is Speed Dials and the bars are also all black.

Чтобы было удобно пользоваться на светлых и темных сайтах - делаем Scrollbar thumb color прозрачным и серым на 50-60%, дальше разберетесь. Если бы скроллбар еще скрывался в инактиве - задонатил бы или купил лицуху, но бро не монетизирует это дело. Жду апдейт бтв)
