Description from store Most of the websites allows us to stream/play videos, but plays at high volume(100%) which is annoying and immediately the user starts searching for volume adjuster. This extension helps you to get rid of those annoying high volumes and it works similar to your system-level volume manager, which manages for all chrome tabs you are working on. Changelog: v0.4 - Configure volume step size v0.3 - Keyboard shortcuts to increase/decrease/mute volume (see settings page for instructions) Features: - Play audio/video media with saved volume settings. - Remembers previously saved volume level (even after cache clear/reboot). This helps to avoid checking for volume level while opening the chrome app freshly. - A simple controller which controls volume of a video playing in any tab/window while you're working on other tab/window. It helps you to get rid of high volume *auto-play* videos while browsing facebook, twitter, web.whatsapp, youtube and any other streaming sites (html5 videos).

With the progam her it gives a full sized slider that is easy to see and operate. Wish I had found this years ago. Rgds and good luck to dev.

(2018-03-27) Clockwork Catz: Didn't change the volume at all for me. I tried restarting Chrome. Am using other extensions if these could be interfering? I have Adblock, Onetab, and a few others but I don't think any of them would do anything.

(2018-03-08) Nicholas Vaughn: Interface is nicer than alternative. Doesn't seem to work with the extension DevTab, maybe because Chrome doesn't register that the extension is playing sound (no sound icon on tab). This was what I needed this extension for. Did not extensively test.

(2018-01-06) Ni Ndogo: It is an excellent extension that does what it says. There is one small problem though, there are sites that play video on mute by default. In those sites this extension causes the silent video to have sound. Can you look into that please?
(2017-12-13) Lee: Works mostly as described. Controls volume level when opening a new tab where the page has audio ... however, the control is not immediate. For a fraction of a second the volume is at full level and then gets lowered to my preset. So get I a loud blast that is immediately squelched; however, it is the blast of loud audio that I was trying to avoid having to dash around the page looking for a volume control. I will keep this extension but will have to go back to using the MuteTab extension. Then I can load a web page without a blast of loud audio (that gets quickly but not instantly squelched).
