CUSTOMIZE YOUR REDDIT EXPERIENCE
SHINE for Reddit lets you choose layout according to your liking. At a glance there are three layout styles:
• List - most similar to original Reddit, but with modern feel
• Reader - two column layout, much like Google Reader or Gmail, where you can see the list on one side and content with comments on the other
• Grid - which best suites subreddits that contain a lot of pictures.
On top of it, every type of content you can view and comment without opening new tabs like in old Reddit design and in List/Reader mode, even without opening popups like in new Reddit design.

- Known bugs: Old Nightmode style is still unfinished, I had no time to work on it. If you care about the old nightmode, please message me.
- Known bugs: [view] button in comments with links still does not work. I know about it, did not yet have time to fix it. I suggest using Imagus for Chrome or Firefox for the time being.

- Known bugs: Due to many changes, old nightmode (Legacy Night) is not looking as it should, I'm really sorry, it will be fixed in next version. Please, use any other black themes for now.
Latest reviews
The only thing this extension does is force reddit.com to load as old.reddit.com. That's it. There are no options to do anything else.

Wonderful extension for reddit. Probably the best one for Chrome based web browsers, if we're being honest. SHINE also helped me resolve a problem with reddit itself: It's SLOW. Even with RES, in fact, RES made it even slower. It was constantly lagging scrolling through reddit, clicking on a post would sometimes take upwards of 10 seconds to load the post. Insane! SHINE fixes all of this and adds a beautiful user experience to boot. You just can't go wrong with this extension if you browse reddit often.

Fantastic extension, but desperately needs an update
Love that this extension allows you to see posts with spoilers normally instead of clicking on them
I want to like this extension. It looks so nice and it really makes Reddit feel better... until you get a little far down and it starts lagging. No other website or webapp I have used is as slow as Reddit is while I have this extension enabled. Even simple effects like highlighting a post when I hover over it takes several seconds to happen. I timed it—even when I'm only a few pages into Reddit, the time it takes from when I click an image post to when the image starts to load (not when the image finishes loading; when it STARTS to load!) is TEN seconds. That is unacceptable! This extension has the potential to be so great, but in its current state, it is unusable.
The twitch clip embed is now broken sadly
Old reddit mixed with new reddit, with way limited features in both reddit itself but also other subreddits with customized stuff. Just bad.

This is a great extension. It really changes the whole reddit experience for the better.
Consuming too much resources
Has potential, however without comment sorting and comment quick formatting, it's a hard pass from me.
I love that you can set the Dracula theme with your choice of accent color! Love Reddit and this is a great extension :) I also would be interested in supporting the Developers if there was a contribution option, or purchase option.
Overall it's very clean, I like it. Is there any way to sort comments though? Kind of a deal breaker for me at the moment.

I like the features, but after having it run for a few minutes, it becomes a CPU hog?
GORGEOUSSS!!!!!!! One small issue i have is in material dark theme the up and down arrows are not inverted in colors and just blend in with the background

FANTASTIC WORK! SHINE, but without the nasty stuff added recently, and it's open source! I was fan of the original SHINE for Reddit (even paid for premium), though recent findings that the developer sold it and that it now comes loaded with malware and history tracking made me lose hope I'd never enjoy using Reddit with SHINE again... Thanks so much Dev, I just wish I could donate to support further development...
