Bookmark tags
Adds tags to bookmarks. Improves search and more.
Extension provides some additional functionality compared to default bookmark manager.
This extension allows you to do following things:
* add tags for any bookmark
* search bookmarks by tag, folder or title/url words
* bulk bookmark operations (open bookmarks, move them to folder, add or remove tag)
* find potential duplicate bookmarks
* show all used tags
Unlike many other extensions, this one uses default browser's bookmarks storage and handles tags as part of a title.
So it is possible to add some tags when creating new bookmark by just writing several #tags to its title.

Great extension. One of the best imho.
Any plans to update it , as my recent update says this extension is no longer supported
Awesome. One thing though. Is there a way to make the background dark?
Installed. First thing, no bookmarks are shown; second, the help button opens an error page with "ERR_FILE_NOT_FOUND".
This is really a great tool - thanks to the developer! Is there any user documentation or tips and tricks?
Excellent tool. Makes bookmarks much much more faster to search. Why isn't this feature built into Chrome? Thank you.
thank you. you bring a sorely needed feature of chrome browser

I like it . . .but if you could allow selecting individual bookmarks for bulk removal after filtering I would love it!

Wanted to find all the folders where my bookmarks are and this is the one extension i could find for this. 5* and would be better if i could open this not in a separate tab, but like in a pop up

Super useful, super quick and complete new and efficient way to manage bookamrks.

This is exactly what I was looking for. The extension even turns nested folder structures into searchable "tags". I don't know about the scalability of the solution, but one always have to keep in mind that the available APIs are quite limited. So far, very nice. Thanks

I will say, I'm still in the early days of using this extension. I really don't think there's anything wrong with it; in fact for what it does it seems really, really great. The only reason I'm taking off a star: It doesn't really document very well what it does. Basically, this is an extension that creates an alternate bookmark manager tab that allows you to search and filter your bookmarks very quickly and allows you to perform batch operations on the bookmarks you've filtered to in the search bar. You don't even have to use the "#tag" syntax, although it does have built-in features for that syntax. It's all pretty straightforward and obvious with a little playing around, but it would be nice if there was a little bit of an overview somewhere. And more specifically, this should be documented: the hotkeys to open the first ten search results, which are numbered from one to zero (zero for the tenth result). To open one of these results, press Ctrl plus the corresponding number. E.g. Ctrl-1, Ctrl-2, etc.

This is so useful! Finally I no longer have to copy the same bookmark under different folders. Bonus feature request: would it be possible to allow an extra text field per bookmark? I often would like to mention why I bookmarked something, what was the original context, a reference of sort. I could enter that there and it would be cool to be able to search that content as well.

Thank you so very much for this excellent and usable extension! I rarely write reviews. It works on Brave browser. I use the GTD (Get Things Done) archiving system on bookmark folders to find my bookmarks, but I am finding that the growing tree of folders is unpractical. In addition web pages often fit several labels, like @subject/science @organsization/sciencedaily.com and @todo. Now i can put the page in all places at once, and more: tags #@subject #science #@organization #@todo #article #sciencedaily. The search and management functions are very good. E.g. to find all my non-archived bookmarks i can use negation: !/@ !#@. I think it will be quite easy to add tags to all my bookmark folders.

Not a review but how do I add a tag to a bookmark?
Great! But I have one problem with it. If I open Bookmark Tags tab, and then click on any favourite, I will not be able to open Bookmark Tabs again, until I close that tab I opened previously. This makes it unusable for me in everyday tasks, unless I am careful and open the favourite in a new tab (but then I have to remember to close the Bookmark Tags tab eventually). It would be great if I had the choice. Behaviour could be: BT tab is still open somewhere, move focus on that tab. BT tab just changed to any page, just open a new BT tab when requested.

Chrome

I was looking a way to filter my bookmarks by folder names this add-on permit a good filtering research by folder you just have to pay attention the way you write space keys and add a slash (/) at the beginning of your folder research because my folders have some spaces like : My best bookmarks folder you just have to replace space by (*) symbol, /My*best*bookmarks*folder filter any bookmarks inside a specific folder this way it works perfectly
