Adds video playback controls (seek bar, volume, play/pause, download video button) to Instagram™ Embedded Videos in web pages.
This tiny and efficient extension adds standard video playback controls to Instagram™ videos. Normally, all you can do with an Instagram™ video is play or pause it, but this extension will expose the native Chrome HTML 5 video player which has a seek bar, a volume control, a play/pause button, Picture-In-Picture (floating video) button, fullscreen video button, and a download video button!
Additionally, if you adjust the volume of a video, the volume will be remembered for future videos. This feature can be disabled in the extension config, if desired. You also have the ability to change the video playback speed between 1/2 to 4x normal speed. You must set this speed in the extension config.
The download Video button is very convenient - just click it, and the video file will download!
The extension automatically runs and works on all web pages that embed Instagram™ videos!
How to use it:
1) Load any web page that contains an Instagram video
2) Click the video to make it play
3) That's it - the extension will automatically detect the video and will reveal the control buttons.
If you want to change the extension configuration (i.e., to set playback speed), click the extension icon found in the top-right of your browser, and then select "Options".

- It works in the sense that it gives you a timeline seek and volume control that work individually, but if you pause or seek anywhere in the timeline, it auto mutes the video. Fix this in an update and it'll be 5 stars.

- The music info bar (showing the song and account name) is overlapping on top of the timeline/progress bar, making it impossible to tap and interact with it. The music layer sits at a higher z-index than the timeline controls, so it intercepts all your taps before they reach the scrubber underneath.

- I mean it does what I wanted it to (control the volume and rewind videos), but every time you pause or start from the beginning, it mutes! I have to miss the first second of what they're saying in the video because I have to slide the scroller to the start, then go click the volume button as fast as I can. A bonus addition for the developers would be to rewind/fast forward (maybe 5 seconds. Most videos are 10-15) with the left and right arrows.

- really good, makes the reel into an mp4 viewing without messing up the scroll function, only issue is the little black hue box on the bottom is pushed up, which kinda messed up the viewing. fix that and this is an easy 5 stars

- Working! For those complaining about the audio muting every time you use the timeline: you have to activate the default audio button given by instagram, then the issue disappears and all the other videos start with audio

- It's been a few months since it stopped working with embed videos in other webs. The bar only appears when the video is paused, and you can't click on any of the functions.

- Does what it says out the tin 10/10 If you have issues with videos muting themselves after looping or seeking, don't click on the volume controls from the default chrome controls, but the other speaker button right above it. You'll know it's the right one if a vertical volume slider pops up. A little annoying because you have to do it for every video, but it fixes the problem. Hopefully the dev implements an automatic fix.

- Pretty good, but a bug needs fixing on it. When you restart the video, the video automatically mutes. then when you unmute, you've missed the 1st second of audio and have to restart the video again, to which it mutes itself again. Rinse and repeat.
