Make the UI more modern with dark mode. Then it would be perfect.

Firstly, I really rate this extension and used to use it all the time, so everything I write below I say while respecting the original developer. However there were a couple of things about the extension that bugged me. First of all, it does not sync user preferences across different computers. So if you sign in to Chrome on a new computer, Chrome will install the extension but your settings will have changed back to default. It's a small thing but it bugged me because I did not like the default multiple-icon popup and always used the extension with only one search icon. Also the settings page I found to be a bit clunky and outdated, and even some of the default icons are now old and outdated. As a hobby I write Chrome extensions and seeing as this extension had not been updated since 2013, I thought I would produce something that meets my own needs with some enhanced features. It is called "One Click Search". It is fairly basic but it fits my needs and if it gets popular I am open to adding new features. Great app, but please fix that upon selecting a word, the pop-up appears in two lines instead of in one, also when, in the extension options, the maximum columns are set to be more than the actual number of used search options.

Still using it in 2020. Perfect, nice personalization with many sites (it should include some instructions).

Great extension, can you add a Bing search engine to choose from? Or how can I do it myself?

Great idea, terrible execution. After you highlight something you cant select anything other than the stupid popup for the extension.

IT DOESNT compare with opera default select, which even converts money. but its decent. sadly there is little customization available design wise. wouldve loved to have them bigger currently is the best option . selection search is missing clipboard and other features

this crap is too invasive it also appears in search box

Would be so much nicer if you could export and import settings. It's not fun redoing all your work each time. Would also be great to be able to disable it on certain sites.

The option to change the Maximum number of columns doesn't cooperate. Once I add two {tested with two to four} services it drops the last service to a second row. I wanted to use four services and have adjusted the columns a few times: setting it to 4, 10, 40, and 100. This is a pretty big problem, since the popup's offset overlaps with the text that I have selected making it impossible to triple-click and select a paragraph. I don't think I'd have any issues if the columns were fixed, or the popup's offset was adjusted so it didn't sit on the selected text.

please, add setting for possition of baloon i.e. I want to select from some variants where baloon apears relative to selected text (top, bottom, right, left), probably some combinations and distance from text I have other extensions that also shows me a ballon and these two ballons overlap each other e.g. You can test with google translate

Found a better alternative to this, it's called Selection Search. Since this hasn't been updated in almost 3 years, and is missing some nice features that are in Selection Search (especially syncing search engines), I'm uninstalling this.

Nice addon. Good alternative to the no longer around fasterfox (chrome) addon. I have one problem though. I have a dictionary addon (by google) and when I double click a word, first this addon appears and then googles dictionary app (shows me definitions) overlaps this addon. (Pain in the but) As a work around though, Iv changed a setting in the dictionary addon to make it only appear when I hold the CTRL button. Maybe this app could use a setting allowing the user to set where the popup box should appear? (Bellow or above the selected word?)

С тех пор как сдохло расширение smarterfox (по виду идентичное с этим) настали темные времена. Мучился ужасно. Но, вот оно пришло в ином обличьи и я снова счастлив!! Это лучшее, что может быть для хрома!!! Спасибо разработчикам!

Super! But it would be helpful if the bubble doesn't appear if you mark text in a textbox while you're typing. Because with the Bubble you can't copy and paste. Than this Addin would be perfect. Can you solve this Problem ?

i was in search of this type of extension when google has disabled fastestfox extension... it is better than fastestfox... can u plz add the dictionary option... or how to add some dictionary related website to direct search a highlighted word... plz help me out... and plz add INDIA.. .IN thanks...

tried it as some substitute to FastestFox. very nice, many customizable fields are great. but why it blocks normal right click?.. I haven't found any possibility to unblock it in settings. it's impossible to use it when it acts this way.
