Meta Pixel Helper
Description from store

The Meta Pixel Helper is a tool that helps you validate your pixel implementation and your business setup. The Meta Pixel Helper works in the background to look for conversion or Meta pixels and provides realtime feedback and optimizations for your setup.

A small number will appear on the Meta Pixel Helper icon to indicate number of pixel events. When clicked, a panel will expand to show a detailed overview of the page's pixels, including warnings, errors and successes. Very bad update, not useful at all and the previous version so far better than new update. Please restore the old version or revise the new update.

This version triggers a javascript error: "WebSocket connection to 'ws://localhost:8081/' failed:"
Acworldonline
Please return to the old version. The new version is not working good.
Mark Brown
HORRIBLE update forcing side panel use and click through just to see the events and data. This was extremely useful in its previous form with the simple dropdown (and even better when it used to show the pixel's name). Whoever redesigned it obviously never used the tool for creating and testing events.

works so great that it requires you to login to facebook in order for you to do some developer work. funny thing is I test incognito always so I cannot test this because incognito my fb session does not exist. Something you would expect from Meta's QA team.
Ozzie (Ozzie)
Update made it completely useless, I don't have (and don't want) access to the Meta side for the sites I manage, I just need to know that the pixel fired...
Ricardo Ribeiro
It stopped working after the update. It's become awful!!!

Please fix functionality with Comet Browser from Perplexity AI.

I don't get it. The extension was fine. Why the hassle of log in?
Joackim Amundsen
New version sucks. Should be no need to log into FB to use an extension. Return the old version.

4.0 version is very bad updates. Previous one is better

Login to Meta is mandatory now. Awful decision, it's almost useless now, want to find any alternative. I bet every changes was made for additional tracking users in Chrome.
Valentyn Khursa
it's not work after the update

Mandatory login for the new version of the extension is complete nonsense and an absolute pain. Old extension was better.
Dmytro Itkin
After the latest update, Meta Pixel Helper requires login. Clicking “Log in” opens Facebook in a new tab, but the extension stays logged out, causing a login loop. The extension console also shows a CORS error when sending logs to the Graph API. The issue occurs on all websites and makes the extension unusable.

it's not good after the update

Since the update, you can't use this tool without being logged in. Our Meta Business accounts cannot be used either. So, our agency won't be using the previously very helpful Meta Pixel Helper any longer.

doesnt work after the update, will be uninstalling.

Now requires a login. Not using anymore.
Sava Kovalenko
After update cannot view the events without loggin in, which is insanely stupid, since I work on multiple accounts in my company for tag implementation and do not have access to a single ad account (since I do not launch ads). Extension has become useless, so have to resort to checking network requests manually.

Why would you destroy a good working extension with this new buggy version? Just change the CSS. I would rather check network requests directly.
Ivan Pelykh
Mandatory login - is the most stupid decision ever made. Removed.
Mohammad Shuvo
Old one was better than new.
Sergiu Cetulean
Why would you start requiring people to login in order to use the Helper?
Federico Pullarà
Fuck Meta for making the login MANDATORY when it never was needed before.
Ivan Vladov
Does not work anymore.

Forces users to login in order to check if pixel code fired properly. Whoever changed this should be sacked.

old is gold
Anton Beckman
New features no one asked for, previous version did everything perfectly, and now its just sluggish with a login screen? Why? Is this some ai vibe coded thing where you asked "make it look professional"?
Klent Galimbas
It now requires login to use. Ridiculous!!
Anand Saurav
what rubbish is this ? No i have to login to check the pixel is working or not. A clear idiotic move. like if i was just to check i should login? Are you trying another of your tricks to steal people's data ? Old way was MUCH better. You click once, see what tags are in.. perfect.
Dillon Nikolai
They updated it and made it worse.. go figure. You have to login now, it sometimes doesn't even load. Old way was MUCH better. You click once, see what tags are in.. perfect.
Frances Weaver
It is absurd that the new version of the tool requires you to login in order to see fired tags. Using a plugin is for convenience, as a developer can just use the console and the Network tab to debug the tags, why do we need to login to use the tool?
Josianne Thessereault
The new update makes it more difficult to debug.
Ryan Mioduski
Version 4.0 requires more clicks to see which events are firing and the sidebar pushing out is more interruptive. For quickly checking pixels, this was a downgrade.
S.E. Ong
meta code quality is utter rubbish, event fired but this extension still insists it wasn't... wasting our time with misinformation
