This is a modded version of daPhyre's "Facebook Messenger Notifications", to open Messenger instead of Facebook.
UPDATE March 17, 2017 - I had to change the extension's name and icons following a trademark violation notice by Facebook, Inc.

No longer works
Does this still work? I show as disconnected even though I'm logged in. It loads Messenger or Facebook fine I've uninstalled and reinstalled with no change.
Good notificator! It is light and functional without any bloat. Unfortunally, it doesn't work for new FB interface, writes "--Disconnected--".

Really cool extention but could you just update the icon?
Perfect app just what I needed simple, lightweight non-intrusive messenger notifications.
I'd also suggest adding the option to change the target URL. Since the original extension was removed it's a relief to find this one
It's not refresh and display the number on the icon. please fix it!
