  • (2025-06-30) Wolf Gang: Very useful. Few years ago I visited a site while this extension was on. Today I tried visiting via bookmarks it and it didn't exist. Thankfully I got a notification that it's been archived.
  • (2025-06-29) Samuel Robinson: Does its best to archive websites. In some cases webpage data might be too complex to copy correctly (e.g., Notion sites).
  • (2025-06-23) Shreyansh Agarwal: Its really cool that it exists.
  • (2025-05-28) Ez Skill issue: Even automaticly saves webpages! 10/10
  • (2025-04-15) Syberia Amazing: Cool and useful thing. It is very convenient to be able to see what was on a particular site earlier, in different periods.
  • (2025-03-29) Emil Stockard: love you
  • (2025-03-23) James Blanchard: It literally just doesn't work
  • (2025-03-12) Andreas: For lurkers online like me, this is highly useful extension and works just well. Nice work friend, God bless.
  • (2025-01-14) Jolan XBL: Sometimes it fails to save without providing any reason, but it's good to have access to the site history at least. Maybe I just need to sign in first?
  • (2024-12-31) Miss Glow: When using the extension and trying to archive, you must be signed in, or you will get an error. Otherwise, go to website and archive manually. You may need to temporarily turn off any Ad Blockers, refresh the page, and also the page you want to save after logging in, and then attempt again. Great, easy and useful!
  • (2024-12-11) Darrell Johnson: I really liked this extension but I still get errors when trying to archive. Are the servers up yet for this extension? I had to go to the archive site and save manually :(
  • (2024-11-24) Yes Go: Question? First off, I just want to say how much I love the Wayback Machine. It's an incredibly useful tool, and I’m grateful for all the effort you put into making it great. I still rate it 5 stars without hesitation! I have a small issue, though. On certain domains, some pages aren't fully rendering and instead show example text like the one below. Interestingly, the same site used to render correctly in the past. "family:"Verdana", sans-serif;font-style:normal;font-weight:700;color:#000000;background-color:transparent;text-decoration:none;font-variant:normal;font-size:5.3px;vertical-align:0; } .P-3 { text-align:center;line-height:1px;font-family:"Verdana", sans-serif;font-style:normal;font-weight:700;color:#000000;background-color:transparent;font-variant:normal;font-size:19.0px;vertical-align:0; } .C-3 { line-height:23.00px;font-family:"Verdana", sans-serif;font-style:normal;font-weight:700;color:#000000;background-color:transparent;text-decoration:underline;font-" Will this be corrected in the future? Thank you so much for your attention to this matter. I appreciate all the hard work you do
  • (2024-11-16) Samuel Shirokobrod: The extension seems like its working but auto-save and manually saving a page results in "Save Failed" error, making me go to the website directly to save a page.
  • (2024-11-15) MrScottyPieey: The archive.org extension and the servers are still back.
  • (2024-11-12) Jansen Yong: As of today 10-NOV-2024, I am unable to archive any page when logged in on this Chrome extension, it is asking me to log in even when I AM ALREADY LOGGED IN. If I log out I am able to archive by clicking on the Save Page Now button, but I will miss out on the outlink and screenshot archiving feature because those need me to be logged in.
  • (2024-11-11) George Orewa: I love the idea, but every time I attempt to save a page, it tells me "Save Failed," and when I hover over it, it says that I need to be "logged in to use Save Page Now," despite the fact that I am logged in. Are you able to fix this?
  • (2024-10-23) Islam Ahmed: I can’t say enough good things about the Wayback Machine! It’s like a time machine for the internet. I love being able to check out old versions of my favorite websites or see how things looked years ago. It's super easy to use, and it’s helped me out so many times, whether for research or just out of curiosity. Huge shoutout to the Internet Archive for all the hard work they put into preserving our digital history. If you haven’t tried it yet, definitely give it a go—you won’t regret it!
  • (2024-10-15) Constanza Lafuente: Quick question: I have been using the service to read books, but I noticed that I am unable to access any books today. Is the the book collection website working properly? Thanks! Best, Connie
  • (2024-10-14) jumbo: it does work, but the wayback machine is down right now because of a ddos attack, that's why you can't access this right now. you should also check your email in HaveIBeenPwned if you have an account on the wayback machine.
  • (2024-10-14) sasrika karunarathna: offline at the moment oct/14/2024
  • (2024-10-13) Чижик Пыжик: Everything is good, but it's better to open new tab beside current.
  • (2024-09-26) Michelle: I love it, but I wish there was a way to tailor the "auto save page" option to only save certain URLs instead of only being able to exclude. I mainly use it to archive writing on a few websites, and I end up having to do sometimes each chapter manually.
  • (2024-09-14) Muhammad Asif Ahmad: AWESOME
  • (2024-09-08) Drew Hester: This is the extension that should be used when teaching how to design any extensions. It just works, but the simple layout that's easy to use and understand. THANK YOU for updating to MV3! I was coming here to see if it was still in danger and was going to offer to update it for you haha. But you did it! Only suggestion is a personal preference and that's that I wish the popup width was a little wider, but that's cosmetic only, the feature set is fantastic though!
  • (2024-08-28) Muhumuza Brian: Am interested in looking at old youtube snapshots but the archive.org website is very slow, it takes forever to load. Please fix the loading speed. Thank you
  • (2024-08-17) Squezou Playz: good wayback machine a verry good wayback machine
  • (2024-08-08) Matthew Roughton: Save feature broken and falsely says Server Not Found.

  • (2024-08-01) Marcin Miszkurka (Miszkurka2000): This extension may soon no longer be supported because it doesn't follow best practices for Chrome extensions. Will you fix it?
  • (2024-07-07) bobertramgenius: I'm getting these errors in the console now when I try to manually save something from reddit: 6 instances of Manifest: property 'url' ignored, should be within scope of the manifest. followed by 6 instances of Manifest: property 'url' of 'shortcut' not present.
  • (2024-07-06) Bruno: Fantastic extension for saving web pages! Congratulations and many thanks!
  • (2024-06-07) Fyingfox Gaming: I do like the idea of having to archive webpages automatically with it whenever I visit any websites instead of having to visit the Wayback Machine page to do it manually every time.

  • (2024-06-04) Skander Helali: Edit: indeed, fixed as of version 3.4.1. I don't know what happened but the extension is now using so much CPU on the latest Chrome Beta. Had to disable it on my laptop where the extra cpu usage was quite noticeable. Is there a bug? A crypto miner? No clue.
  • (2024-06-02) Максим Курбатов (maksimkurb): I've also faced increased CPU usage on MS Edge last week. I opened Chrome Task Manager and saw that this extension used 50% of my CPU. When I deleted it, everything become normal.
  • (2024-06-01) Mike Castillo: Same as Skander Helali, CPU usage is shot up recently. I'm on Chrome stable, not beta. Other than that, a useful extension.
  • (2024-05-16) Tama Aryo Pradono: ye its good but the website so slow, like it takes forever to load before it used to be like a few seconds now its a few years
  • (2024-03-14) William Makuu: purfect
  • (2024-01-31) patrick healy: It used to work perfectly, but about a month ago, it suddenly said that I needed to sign in to use it. If I need to sign in to use it, then why doesn't it send me to the page to do so? it's useless without being able to be signed in.

  • (2024-01-12) Kelson Vibber: Useful for when you want to make sure the pages you're reading will still be around in some form in the future, and to easily get at additional context. (Just remember that it checks *every page you view* against the Wayback Machine, so turn it off when you're not using it!) If you enable auto-save, be sure to add to the exclusions list so it doesn't waste time trying to archive your webmail or control panel. There *is* a private mode where it doesn't do anything until you ask it to. But that leaves you with essentially the same features as a pair of bookmarklets to check or save the current page.
  • (2023-12-24) You're gonna burn alright: Love it, I'd give 5 stars if the devs added a "⏹️ Disable context menu upon Right Click"
  • (2023-10-19) Trevor Hart: This is a good way to show what a website looked like in the late 90s to early 2000s. I like to look at what the old "MyFoxBoston" site for FOX 25 WFXT looked like back then, since that era of FOX TV is so nostalgic!

  • (2023-10-08) Jai Cabryizky: Used to be an excellent and useful extension, five stars easily. But as of the last few weeks or perhaps month and a half it has been crashing my browser with increasing frequency. Now, it crashes my browser probably 3 out of four times that I try to use it. And that's just with trying to see if a page has been saved before and then access one of these saved pages, let alone when I actually try and save a page myself. Could just be my browser, since I've been using kiwi browser for Android mobile which has had varying of newfound & frustrating problems (where there were previously no problems) following the Kiwi Dev's brilliant idea to "update" the browser... Since then it's been having regular issues. However, in terms of extension use/compatibility this is the only extension which has been crashing my browser, so my layman's logic leads me to think it's this extension that's been the source of the crashing bug when I attempt to use it.
