20240903 Chrome. I have to give this one 5 stars. It actually works (.html) and feels just like looking at the regular app chats. I have been searching everywhere and been disappointed with the default .txt you get from the regular built-in chat export and very disappointed with every other tool claiming to help. Successfully grabbed chat messages with names and dates, images, pdf and oga (audio) [WYSIWYG - fully load the chat history and any images that didn't load yourself then hit go]. It didn't grab .vcf (contact card) but I noticed it and so I downloaded the .vcf separately (would be nice to have, but no biggie). I paid the bare minimum for the license, but I'll buy another license in a couple of weeks so I can buy this person some well deserved coffee (or favorite drinks of their choice).

works well, however, we must remember that whatsapp chats don't load on desktop these days so it can download uptil the chats have been downloaded and not beyond. but that's just how whatsapp is set up, and whatsapp as a platform sucks at managing media and such.

Hello guys, I am using this paid Chrome Extension since 3 or 4 years, when WhatsApp didn't restricted 3 months web chat limit option, I had many time conversations with WhatsApp team to remove this restriction, or provide us a proper way to export our chat with voice notes/images/videos/contact etc, but as usual, they denied everything. You guys can also appeal them to make WhatsApp more easier to us. Meanwhile I had conversation with "Fatty Noparents" then owner / creator of "Backup WhatsApp Chats" chrome extension. What he has given us is really worth to use, but because of limitation of WhatsApp his team can't do more then this that we are expecting. WhatsApp has put everybody in a cage, i have 27GB WhatsApp data in my mobile and i want to export them to PDF or any other format, and this extension is a hope. This team is doing very well with a small amount for the lifetime. Hello OP. Does this still work for the new WhatsApp Web? I have some old messages that I want to backup but it would be very hard to do manually. However, on WhatsApp Web, I can only go back a few days in the new version.
