OneNote Web Clipper

I used this extension for years, and I was disappointed when it stopped working for a while. But I recently thought of it again, reinstalled it, and it works perfectly now. I’m so glad and grateful to see it back!

Great app! I use it for work daily. Very handy and integrates well with my other programs.

I mean i can only say its an awesome app. it lets you save ad free youtube vids for chrst sake. and everything else. comes in so handy

Great extension! Love it! Works great without issues. I've one incident with this extension one time of all the years I've use it that happened after not using my laptop for a long while. The issue was easily fixed by uninstalling & reinstalling it in the browser. I definitely recommend this extension to anyone using OneNote.

After spending many hours, finally, it works again. When it works, it is awesome. But what a standard Microsoft pain. You get better answers on reddit than from MS to fix problems.

This used to be an excellent product. It no longer works with google chrome. It surprises me that a company as large as microsoft wouldn't ensure their products are kept current with updates. What are we supposed to do if we already have hundreds of hours invested in "notebooks" now that clipper doesn't work?

I am quite happy with the clipper thought sometimes it is unstable and it is necessary to reinstall it, otherwise it works as it offers to work.

It took a while to setup properly, although that had more to do with the core OneNote product and the way it uses OneDrive (Windows version) to store and share notes. It is simple, quick and efficient and does exactly what I need.

I've used other apps for notetaking like Notability, but with OneNote there is an ease of transferring over web pages that I can't find support for in the other smaller competitors. With backing from Microsoft, they really have made this Chrome Web Clipper indispensable for storing so much information found on the web in OneNote for easier reference later on. I'll be using this often!

I like the OneNote Web Clipper app. It's a little tricky to get it registered properly with Microsoft but one you do it works well for collecting articles. I use it a get deal for my podcast - Brave Tech World Podcast research, since I spend a lot of time examining how technology affects society.

There are some extensions that make using the web easy, and then there are extensions like this that actually give you extra time in a day. OneNote is the most underrated product in Microsoft's arsenal. People who don't use it simply don't understand the power it holds. One of the greatest features is this web extension. There are 4 functions: Full page image (no scrolling or highlighting needed) (with a hyperlink to the page) Clipping just a small section of the page Clipping the article without all of the extra pictures Just clipping a bookmark I almost always choose the "Full Page Image" (top one) because it looks just like what I'm currently seeing. The nice thing is that if that page changes later, my OneNote notebook stays the same. You know what I'm talking about. If someone is posting something and you want to remember it, there it is. It will send directly to a default notebook, but you can change it to anywhere in your OneNote notebooks (and I have probably 50 of them). I use them for my product reviews, my daily journal, my warranties, recipes, computer knowledge, health info, gift ideas, amazon purchases, book lists, budgeting... All of those have separate notebooks. Every time I come across a web page that has to do with any of those topics, I screenshot it with the web clipper.

I do a lot of genealogy research and this is invaluable for gathering research and organizing it at the same time. And the articles and photos contain the proper citations. I'm not just screencap'ing someones work, I'm retaining the link to the original source.

It has stopped working on Opera browser since a few days ago. It can't load any notebooks, and even when it successfully load some notebooks, it says notebook doesn't exist. I love this extension and it's time consuming to save the articles and such without this extension. I hope it will start working soon.

This add-on is essential to my business. Saving ideas, top trends, and too much more to type!

Awsome, It would be nice to embed live webpages!

Decent product, the version for the iPhone and iPad is better than the Mac version but it does the job as well. The price is right as it's bundled as part of the monthly subscription.

I love being able to import online videos to my OneNote. Fantastic!

It's perfect when clipping the articles, as it formats it in the best way to keep the text organized.

Older version seem to work well. Knows what crucial pictures to include in "article" mode. Gets the different font sizes and emphasis mostly correct. New version don't do any of those anymore. It's just a simple text summary, with all text in the same size. No pictures. No emphasis. It doesn't know even include the date of news clippings. I reviewed my old clippings, and I wonder how to get back to the old ways.

PLEASE DISABLE THE STUPID POP UP THAT COMES UP EVERY SINGLE TIME YOU CLIP SOMETHING "CLIPPING SUCCESSFUL" WHY do we need to see that EVERY SINGLE TIME? It's SO STUPID that there is not an option to disable this.

My experience is it no longer works.

Easy to use and convenient. Still learning all of the components of One Note and transferring information into the program. Clipping new information is a plus.

I love OneNote and use it for a wide variety of things. I use it a lot for my recipe collection and have put together my quilting and sewing journals. I keep notes for several ongoing projects, household inventories and finance. I have made digital binders to have a backup of important papers. The clipping tool has really simplified saving what I need. A great tool for decluttering paper from my home. I have been using it for years and have NEVER lost anything. I keep it in One Drive so it keeps my computer decluttered, too.

Doesn't do anything but look like it's trying to load something. Useless.

After learning how to use OneNote, IMO it is the best so far....great replacement for Pocket!

This extension performs consistently incosistenly. I often have to refrest the page or uninstall and reinstall the extension. It should be updated to give users the option to stay signed in.

Very good for multitasking

I love how I get to choose which Notebook to drop my clips into. It is much easier than snipping or taking screenshots, and it keeps a record of where I grabbed the clip from. As long as I am signed into my Microsoft account on my browser, it works perfectly. However, it will spin indefinitely if I'm not signed in. On a few occasions, I have had to remove the extension and reinstall it to resolve the spinning issue. It is a small price to pay for so much help.

Absolutely rubbish. Rarely works. Does weird things to formatting when it does work. Glitchy as hell. Its like its been developed by some new startup!

Works great when it works. The past couple of months when I try to use it the extension just flashes in the corner of chrome as if it is trying to open but never quite does, requiring me to uninstall and reinstall it. So 5 stars for usefulness - one of my go-to apps 2 stars for execution currently on Chrome. Open for ideas as to why it is doing this and how to avoid needing to reinstall.
