Photoshop-like guide lines for any page

Image from store guideLinr
Description from store guideLinr provides rich, Photoshop-like guidelines for any page on the web. With guideLinr, you can create vertical or horizontal guidelines that will persist by URL. If you visit Google today and add guides, tomorrow they'll be back when you return. Right click on any element to add guides on any edge (top, right, bottom, left, or all). There are several different color options available, and the color of guides can be changed from the rich context menu available on each guide. There is an integrated distance measurement tool that shows distance between your guides as you move them. The measurements are now sticky so you can see them wherever you scroll. guideLinr guides can be dragged with your pointer, or moved with your arrow keys for more precise alignment. Hold Shift while you press arrow keys, and they move faster. There's an optional "Snap to Element" feature to help align guides to your elements while dragging. There's also a "Snap To Grid" feature that helps create or align guides to a grid of your choosing. The source for guideLinr is available here: https://bitbucket.org/slobaum/guidelinr/overview

  • (2021-01-10) Maynor Song: It does not work
  • (2020-04-06) Николай Ильинов: Удобная штука. Позволяет устанавливать линии и вычисляет расстояние между ними
  • (2019-08-28) John Tolle: Like others, at first I thought it wasn't working (probably due to its age), but as the reviews were informative: to make it work with a web page you had open before installing the extension, you just have to refresh the page. Works like a champ and very useful!
  • (2019-07-05) Maksym Shapoval: Very useful! Sad, there are no updates since 2014.
  • (2019-05-23) Shiva Shankaran: underrated. useful in some applications where we need multiple rulers
  • (2018-12-02) Frank Johnson: Absolutely love this extension and have been using it a lot. The one thing I wish I could do is turn off the feature (that normally is great) to have the guide lines move in response to the arrow keys on the keyboard. The site I find myself using the extension more than anywhere else is Canva. And often, I want to move an element on the screen pixel by pixel with the arrow keys - but using those keys moves the guide line instead of the element on the screen. I can turn the guide lines off completely, the move the element with the arrow keys, then turn the guide lines back on to make sure I've moved the element the appropriate amount - but that's a bit of a hassle. Otherwise, as I said, absolutely love it!
  • (2018-10-22) Zeeshan Hasan: Does not work or I can't figure out how to make it work -_-
  • (2018-08-23) Алексей: Very cool! Thanks!)
  • (2017-11-06) Rosberg: muito bom
  • (2017-06-02) q Bot: Doesn't work. Just try the extension on example.com and you'll see that the extension´s elements are not resetted with css. Also the distance to the lower edge of the browser isn't calculated correctly.
  • (2016-09-29) 김문연: Very good. Doesn't cover up the edges like some other similar extensions do. Drawing lines on side of element is neat.
  • (2016-05-25) Albin Nilsson: Does not work on local HTML-files.
  • (2016-05-20) b j: Would love it if you could toggle all the guides on and off. Other than that extremely useful.
  • (2016-03-16) Gonzalo García: I would really like to use something like this, but it didn't do anything for me. I tried it and didn't work.
  • (2016-01-07) Dev Tyagi: There Should be a way to add shortcut, quickly add horizontal or vertical line just by shortcut ?
  • (2015-09-26) Dev Tyagi: It's on of the best extension I use on daily basis :)
  • (2015-08-31) Toan Nguyen: Doesn't work
  • (2014-06-04) Rui Barbosa: Please make it possible to save some groups, so you can switch between them and make them go visible/invisible.
  • (2014-03-04) Zafar Mehboob: Doesn't work;
  • (2014-01-23) Judd Younce: Thank you for creating this very helpful extension. Very useful for pixel perfect fanatics like me. One suggestion, can you make a context menu option for creating guidelines? I would love to be able to right click and create a guideline from the context menu. The context menu is the menu that popups when you right click.
  • (2014-01-22) Damien Williams: Finally! An excellent guides and alignment tool. Best one since "Guides" stopped working.
  • (2014-01-17) Tyrale Bloomfield: Every Design application needs to take note. This is great. Very well done.
  • (2014-01-17) Josh: The description says "Photoshop-like guide lines" but this is waaay better. Heck Adobe should take notice. This is by far the best guide lines add on for chrome!
