HashPlug is a Twitter Extension for Chrome that adds Twitter search results into Google in an unobtrusive manner - so that you get Realtime results on latest topics like Election, Sports, Storms,etc. If you have used Tweet Deck, Hoot Suite, SilverBird, etc, this can be great add-on. HashPlug also allows you to favorite, reply or retweet any result.
* Browser restart not required.
* Uses OAuth - No password required
* If you have "Disconnect" extension, it blocks HashPlug from searching twitter.

werkt niet meer maar vroeger wel not working anymore but a while ago it did and liked it. after a vew months i edit this post now and it works sometimes and it has to be steady.Is google restricting this nice app? if not pls come with a fix for this problem cous i like the extention

Excelente herramienta mientras funcionó. Los desarrolladores están demorando demasiado tiempo en poner en línea la versión apta para el nuevo API de Twitter (si es que en verdad "Hashplug" dejó de funcionar por este problema). Excellent tool while it worked. Developers are taking too long to put online the version suitable for the new Twitter API (if indeed "Hashplug" stopped working for this problem).

Good, but it would be much much better if I could filter on language. Japanese tweets just don't do much for me, personally.
i cant get the button to appear in the tabs . help . great extension though, a very functional localized twitter monitor in real time!

Great Idea (there are plenty of similar apps that do this as well), but you need to make the box nicer and not so obvious. It needs to be transparent and fit well (in size) in the Google search sidebar. Also, you should be able to put in your Twitter info so that it only shows tweets of people you follow.
