• (2023-09-18) Rob Loper: Trusty doesn't work properly. It does filter out things, but it doesn't follow its own settings. So it took things out of my search results that should have stayed in. I felt like this was the case when I searched for relatively common items and only ended up with like 4 search results. So I tested doing the same search with and without Trusty. I wanted products with higher than 4.5 rating, with other sliders zeroed out. It filtered out items that were above 4.5 rating, and I ended up finding the product I needed without Trusty's help. Therefore this product does not successfully do what it says it does, and it does not consistently help me find the things I'm actually looking for.

• (2023-08-20) Fuji Lives: Let me start off by saying I LOVE this addon. The default filter sort by price actually alters the results, some just "poof" (look at result count before and after, it's screwy and I'm suprised they are even legally allowed to do this). This addon helps prevent going mad when searching for something that was there a second ago, but gone when sorting. One request - and I know it's kind of a big one, is I'd love a "search within results" capability. Currently I'm just CNTRL-F'ing and searching the results, but the stuff that gets returned isn't always what we ask them for, and it'd be great if I could just have a text field with some AND/OR logic support. I'll give a real world example: I'm searching for a specific CPU. It's AMD branded. I type "AMD CPU" and they spit back like 10,000 Intel results. I did not ask for that, and even if I use the "filter by CPU brand" (provided it's visible on that given screen), it STILL shows Intel CPUs. Having a built in search or filter-to for the results that this addon produces would be incredibly useful for quickly honing in on "what you are actually shopping for". Thanks and I hope to see the addon stick around for a long time!

Thank you so much for putting this together. As of recent, there seems to be a rollout of Amazon changing the way it reviews products. It looks like now there's an avg star rating, followed by the % of 5 star reviews after. Now you don't see the total number of reviews unless you hover over the product. Will this extension be altered to adjust for that? That would be incredibly helpful. Thank you so much!

However, afaik you can't have it be on-demand – instead it activates whenever you load an Amazon search This is a huge problem when you're just searching for something basic, because you do the search, see what you need, go to click on it – – and by the time your mouse is there, Trusty's removed the results and is loading pages and pages filtering etc. etc. It becomes such a nuisance. It needs to have a button to start the Trusty process, and not activate automatically the second a search loads

For example when searching for 2032 batteries, Amazon shows LiCB CR2032 3V Lithium Battery(10-Pack) which has a rating of 4.7 with over 100K ratings. However when I turn on Trusty, that product disappears from the search regardless of what filters I set. Thus I have to do 2 searches, one with Trusty off and one with it on to make sure I don't miss anything.

• (2022-01-25) David Moore: The extension is traditionally very excellent. However, as of late, it has started losing results. As an example, say I search for "Toothbrushes" on Amazon. When one does that, it yields 3000+ results. However, with absolutely no filters put in place, either on Amazon's side of things or Trusty's, it only produces ~60 results, effectively limiting my usage to only the top items Amazon chooses. It seems like it's sorting by the first three digits. If a search returned 4 products with 200, 900, 4,000 and 10,000 reviews. Ordered by reviews descending, it would show the product with 900 reviews first then the product with 4,000 then 200 and the product with 10,000 would appear last. So although I like the extension, I still need to use (&tag=sort08-20) to get the correct order by reviews.

• (2020-07-29) Stephen Rodgers: This is exhibiting odd functionality now. Infinite scroll no longer seems to work; instead it simply loops the filtered products from the 1st page of results over and over. So if you filter down to 24 products, but 8 are on the 1st page, instead of scrolling through 24 you scroll through 1-8, then 1-8 again, etc. This is what people are talking about when they say that valid results are "jumping" off the page. Unfortunately that means that this extension actually hides results you want to see instead of surfacing them. It's one of those things that's either 5-star or 1-star. I REALLY hope the dev manages to restore functionality, because for a little while, this thing was amazing.

Developer, you doing anything with this? Really want it back! Would even pay. :( Was using Infinite Scroll for main purpose of continuous page, but that extension is apparently dead; installed this and voila! works great plus additional functions! So far, absolutely great. Only concern is that it is fairly heavyweight, but enabling only when using Amazon causes no problems as of yet even on my older system. • (2020-01-06) Fawn Carter: I did love this extension. It gives you excellent control over sorting, much better than Amazon. However! I recently noticed that it filters out items before you even use it, meaning some items immediately jump off my search results page without me even touching Trusty. When I deactivate Trusty items suddenly appear in my search. And often they are items that match my search best. I've checked, they are not further down the list on Trusty, they are available Prime items with reviews so there is no reason they should be filtered out and yet they're just gone. I don't know why this happens but I do a lot of Amazon searches to price items for resale and it's not just a few little glitches. I really liked the filter feature but not at the expense of finding what I'm looking for.

I've set it to 1000 and it keeps adding more every time. I'd like to be able to change the default (10). I really think they should remove that completely.

  Most likely because amazon updated their website, the reviews used to be for example 2000, now, if it is that number it is written 2k. so when you insert in the tool 2000 the product with 2k reviews won't appear because the tool would think this is only 2 reviews not 2000.

I am however missing two features that would make it perfect for my use-case: * Filter by delivery date to ensure that products fit with rest of carts delivery date. * For bulk products that also show price per kg, meter etc., choose the unit (kg, meter etc.) and filter by max price per that unit.   I think the Trusty Amazon search extension may be filtering/hiding products, even if not directed to. If I search for an item, Amazon will display the number of matching results. However, the results shown on the page are less than expected (even with Trusty search filters off). I LOVE the extra features added by using the Trusty Search extension, but I'm not sure I can trust it's results when it has unexplained behavior. Thanks! I've saved quite a bit of time and money using your extension, but more importantly, I've been able to make much better "buying decisions" - finding the best product out there at the right price point. I'm very grateful. Thank you. Have you ever considered releasing a "premium" version of this product? I adore this extension, but as a heavy Amazon user, I do find myself wishing it had additional functionality, which I believe would justify a premium cost.
