This extension sets your search engine to OceanHero. With every search, you will support solving the problem of plastic pollution of the oceans.

OceanHero is a search engine like any other. The major difference is that with every search, you help save the oceans from plastic pollution. For every five searches you do, we collect one ocean-bound plastic bottle.

★ Permissions ★
Like any other extension OceanHero needs certain permissions to function properly:
"Read and change data on all OceanHero.today sites" and "Communicate with cooperating websites": These permissions are needed to communicate with our web services.
"Replace the page that you see when opening a new tab": We will update your new tab page so that you can easily search with OceanHero every time you open a new tab.
"Read a list of your most frequented websites": The extension needs this permission to display your most frequently visited sites on the new tab page.
"Change your search settings to OceanHero.today": We will use this permission to update your default search to OceanHero
