  • (2025-07-04) Josh “Suburban Beard”: i'm sorry, but my experience was just ruined. i booted up an old computer and hopped into chrome and it had an old layout with none of my custom thumbnails etc and yasd decided that was how it was supposed to be and chaged all my other chrome logins across all opcs and laptops to that 1yr old layout. its like basically starting over again, so i am going to look around and see if there is a differnet one that can prevent that. it had its quirks but did what i needed it to, until now
  • (2025-06-24) Greg Pal: Still free, still the best features, an absolute beast and they never tried anything nasty!
  • (2025-05-29) Sir Thanksalot: Edit : May 28 2025 update. Sometimes thumbnails don't load properly. Seems a bit slower than previous versions as well. Edit : Thank you for resolving the issue! Latest version broke the flow and decreased the column by -1 with no option to revert to the column structure of the last version and no option to manual adjustment. Columns are more centered now, which leaves a lot of empty space on the sides of the main page. It's not bad, but there should be an option to not have that much wasted space. If you make changes please consider backwards compatibility, lost functionality, or user interaction elements. Otherwise its real rating is a 5/5. It's fast, clean, optimized, small in size, and does not steal your data.
  • (2025-05-13) Mark Reimer: Does just what I want. No more, no less. Thanks!
  • (2025-04-03) Nicolas Pastorelly: That's really the best speeddialer interface, thank you. Just a remark though, recently the image thumbnail management feature has been broken ... Both URL mode and file loading mode don't work anymore to customize thumbnails. Will they be fixed please? Thank you.
  • (2025-03-26) Padua Play: Very good and functional new tab page definer. After the recent update, the extension is not able to pick up some thumbnail image. Can be checked with https://chromewebstore.google.com/, for example. YASD is updated to 3.6.4. Chrome was restarted, computer was rebooted, multiple times. YASD is still not able to pick up the thumbnail image. Thanks for making this good extension available.
  • (2025-03-24) Hondo Unicorn: What's going on, thumbnails broken now!?
  • (2025-03-20) V. Pfeffer: great add-on for Chrome
  • (2025-03-19) Andrea Consoli: I've worked with chrome on multiple Win and OSX machines over the years, and YASD is by far the best speed dial extension I've tried! The ease and flexibility in changing the tabs and rearranging them, the folders, and most of all...it always WORKS! Chapeau to the conceptual space team.
  • (2025-03-19) Ralph Hughes: I've used Chrome for years and tried several different speed dial type extensions. YASD is the best one I've used. Simple interface, easy to configure with bookmarks, and I've had zero issues conflicts with other extensions or web sites.
  • (2025-03-19) SilverPike: Thanks for updating to Manifest V3
  • (2025-03-19) Giant Kin: really like this, but chrome is now saying its going to remove it. Please update so that it continues to work! Thank you for the update! I love this extension! I have way to many 'tabs' to try to organize myself! love it.
  • (2025-03-19) RandomBanter: Amazing! Simple! Does what it says on the tin spectacularly and that's it that's all!
  • (2025-03-19) Staš Jevševar: Simple and essential addon. Works exactly as expected.
  • (2025-03-19) Chris Arock: Very good app. Simple & functional. Nice UI as well. I only wish they was an option to disable animations. When the browser opens because of the animation the links "hang", can't click on them until the animation is completed...
  • (2025-03-15) C RAMOS: Best app for Windows but is NOT LETTING ME 6 columns only 5 or7 please fix that
  • (2025-03-14) Lindsay Steele: Thank you so much for fixing this extension, not having it for a while and trying to use alternatives made me realise how good it is and how much I appreciate it.
  • (2025-03-03) Dan Honemann: Really love this extension and hope the developer updates it so it remains compatible with the latest Google Chrome browser!
  • (2025-02-25) Peter Liepmann: Clean, fast, & easy to use. Opening new page gives you (selectable) thumbnails of the pages you (choose) use the most. Completely editable. Only needs to access 'all pages' to get thumbnails; if you turn this off, it still works.
  • (2025-02-04) Ioo Лвлала: The best product. Beautiful, modern. And most importantly, it's fast.
  • (2024-10-15) Valentyn Khylchuk: Clean, useful, good! Best speed deal for me! Thanks to the creator )
  • (2024-09-19) Enzo GD - Gianvittorio Danese: A wonderful extension, far better than the other speed dials. Is clean and light. The only thing I miss is the ability to open a new tab on the last folder in use. Hope is possible for future releases. Well done and five stars for this extension (with an original name indeed ;) Another missing feature would love seeing is the ability to add URL to get the thumbnail images of the dial. BTW: I am editing this review to expose a concern regarding the last (2024) Chrome notification reading: "This extension may soon no longer be supported", I wonder what would happen to the extension since chrome is suggestion to find alternatives and that would a real pity.

  • (2024-07-24) Bed Bo: Dumped Speed Dial 2 and opted for this. Only thing it's missing is the ability to resize the dials.
  • (2024-06-25) Michael Lankton: just dumped FVD and this will do it REALLY needs the ability to scale the size of the dials so that more of them can fit in a browser window
  • (2024-05-13) Biche Tordue: am i dumb or is there no way to import my chrome bookmarks into it ? it's the third on i try with no success
  • (2024-04-17) Klaudia Drozdowska: can you make opera version? :( i like your speed dial better than opera!!!
  • (2024-03-30) Carlos Alfonso Castro: I like it a lot, its import function doesn't work. I'd like to reply my speed dial set in all my computers but when importing it, it just imports the wallpaper, pfft! And it is so tedious to be doing it each speed dial again from scratch. UPDATE: It is also needed to EXPORT/IMPORT the "Speed Dial" folder this extension creates in your browser Bookmarks / Other bookmarks BEFORE you IMPORT SETTINGS. Even thumbnails I've created were imported.
  • (2024-03-26) K Wasowsky: Great addon, I've been using it for a long time but there is one thing that I'm wondering about. Why the background is very low quality when we upload it?
  • (2024-03-21) Hans Luijten: Using this as a replacement of the Opera Speed Dial, and I have to say: it's fast and it works great. For those coming from Opera: I can highly recommend this one. It's lightweight, does get very close to Opera's Speed Dial, cross platform, stores the links as regular bookmarks, no chatter with the mothership, no account needed, customizable (images), very easy to use, and the list goes on and on. The only thing that works a little different is how folders work, but to be honest: the method used here is very good as well. And being able to "fixate" links in a certain position on the screen, although I do understand why it works the way it does (Opera has the same "limitation"). All-in-all: super content with this one!
  • (2024-02-01) Walter Castle: This is an aesthetically pleasing speed dial, easily configurable. I've used it in Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox, and Chromium. The only glitch that I've encountered is the inability to make the back-up (to a .json format) usable in any browser (including Firefox!). It appears to sucessfully back up the speed dial settings to a folder, but nothing happens when I attempt to import them to a new installation of Yet Another Speed Dial. And finding a way to communicate with the developer was unsuccessful also. My OS is Linux Mint Cinnamon 21.2.
  • (2023-12-17) Greg Pal: Was just moving from FVD Speed Dial due to their abusive ad policies and intrusive data sharing, works way better, THANK YOU!
  • (2023-12-07) Maarten: good alternative to other speed dials. I'm using it for two months now and the only nuisance is that I sometimes accidentally drag a dial because of still moving the mouse while clicking. A toggle with 'draggable' in the Settings to lock all the dials is a nice-to-have in a future update!
  • (2023-11-27) Kajo Bluemane: I thought I found the best dial, than I found this one. This is near perfect. Simple, very sharp icons, great customizability. There's only one thing I'd like to see implemented and that's the ability to disable animations when I resize my browser window. I'm a fan of zero animations. :) Edit: Oh and 24-hour format for the clock would be nice as well. ^^
  • (2023-11-27) Guilherme Taffarel Bergamin: Best one I could find so far. Only thing I would like to have would be for folders to also be a tile that would expand when clicking on it. Sort of like how smartphone home screens work
  • (2023-11-26) Scott Brousseau: Feature Request - Size control for dials: I'd like to see the ability to set a size for the dials, so can fit different number of them in a row. Right now, with my screen, it does 5 per line. I'd like to be able to have it show more per line. Also, the ability to set the dials to open in new tab would be good.
  • (2023-11-16) Christine Guinn: Came here after Speed Dial FVD kept jerking everyone around, and became unusable.
  • (2023-11-14) Mike L: Nice and small app, maybe could do with a few extra features - like variable text size & colour. Creating new dials loads quickly which is a bonus - unlike similar apps. However, the JSON backup file doesn't work and unfortunately the developer doesn't respond to questions. At time of writing no updates for 9 months, hope this doesn't impact future bug-fixes. Apart from the bugs this is recommended.

  • (2023-10-06) 許吉利: Although Maxthon4 has been abandoned, you can refer to it. I always think it is very useful.

  • (2023-06-20) Sir Thanksalot: Thank you dev you fixed so many things compared to when this ext. was first released. Question, does this ext. use cpu when nothing is going on? asking for a couple of potatoes, thx :)
  • (2023-05-27) Greeff R: One single request. Add a switch in the settings that prohibits dragging speed dials. Thank you!

  • (2023-03-25) Kahraman Bayraktar: Is it buggy or effected by another extension? This is what unexpectedly happens: I had created a folder, e.g. MAIN, before. Now I create a folder, e.g. DAILY and add some speed dials into it. Then I switch to MAIN and back to DAILY and no speed dials appear. I check MAIN and everything works fine. Then back to DAILY, still nothing appears. I refresh DAILY and speed dials start appearing. Switch to MAIN and it shows speed dials of DAILY. And so on. I even can't figure out the algorithm. This example probably doesn't cover all cases.

  • (2023-02-03) Willard Potter: There is a shocking amount of awful speed dial extensions out there. I tried about 9 others before this one and this was easily the best I've come across. 1. It didn't try to shove preloaded lists of shortcuts down my throat that weren't removable. In fact, it's completely blank to start. 2. It was the only one that did an even half way decent job at automating icons. Any failures were really not the fault of the extension. It found perfectly suitable images. I just preferred other options that were otherwise unavailable to scrape normally and was able to swap those in with no trouble. =) 3. Dead simple interface and options, which I love. I have no clue why it takes others like 12 menus on a completely different page to accomplish what this one does with a single side menu. Perfection. I do have one tiny request though. Any chance of a "Copy link" option in the right click context menu in the future? Not a huge deal. I only really noticed it wasn't there when trying to quickly copy and paste since the speed dial buttons themselves don't seem to get carried over from Export/Import between Chrome and Firefox.
