- (2021-05-16) Stanton McCandlish: No longer works. Probably fixable by the developer. Google just changed whatever this was working around, so the workaround stopped working around it.

- (2018-03-17) Kenneth Wallington: I went through the source code on Github, since I know some extensions like to be sneaky and ping data out to a server (to keep track of things it shouldn't). The Javascript code is very sound, and I can't see any parts of it that contact external servers. It simply observes if you're on the image section, and then observes for each image in order to place the View Image button back in it's rightful place. Someone should double check that there's not lines of code in the attachment unlisted from the GitHub source, but it's the same size on the website as it is on GitHub, so it's likely not the case. With my concern out of the way, I gave this a shot, and it works like a dream. I'm impressed at how compact and efficient the code is, even if it's just moving the link from a source image to a button. My only suggestion would be to move it back to where it used to be, but even then with a little tinkering in JS that wouldn't be difficult. I'd recommend it to others, for sure.

- (2018-02-26) Alex Sutliff: Thank you! Works great! Getty Images should get a better programmer. There are websites that won't let you open image links directly. They should do that if it bothers them so much. This is just ridiculous. Thanks for the fix!
