This extension is intended for use with Trellix Endpoint Security Web Control software to provide color-coded URL safety ratings and blocking of malicious web-page navigation and suspicious file downloads. The extension is able to be used with all currently supported versions of Trellix Endpoint Security Web Control, which must be installed in order for the extension to function.

- A piece of garbage software. I can't access nearly anything. I used this to prevent any 18+ content and now I can't look up "How to find y = mx + b". I plead for you to fix the software's issues. If not I'll bring it down to one star.

- Now, I wouldn't really care if it just blocked things. I'm on a school computer afterall. But it's blocking EVERY google search I do if it has a result that's "inappropriate". Even when I don't click the links. It's just incredibly annoying, if you aren't clicking on it you shouldn't get redirected like that. If you're thinking about getting this for your school, DON'T. Get another extension or something.

- This sucks. I search up pretty much anything and would tell me that there is a threat because there is a Reddit page elsewhere, which i had no intention to click and is completely safe. I had to delete everything trelix-related except Trelix Agent and this extension. If this goes on, I would start using Firefox! I use Windows 10 and this got me up my nerves, so I uninstalled almost everything so that it wouldn't bother me as much, regarding if I had to throw this thing away just a few months later, which I will not because I'm always careful about what I click. It would block all games and pretty much every social app except Youtube, which is the one i use the most. I wish I could teach y'all how to delete it, but I cannot even do it.

- hate this thing with a passion. but if you're on pc then you can uninstall it through the programs section of the control panel. ofc it may not be a permanent solution cause it can be reinstalled remotely (speaking from experince cause i use a school computer). but if that happens then just uninstall it again.

- If you are having trouble using discord, etc. If you go to your settings, then go to apps, and search "trellix" or "web control" you can uninstall it and you will be able to use the apps you'd like. Just do not uninstall everything trellix related, just web control if using a school computer.

- Works as advertised, but has alas been unfairly downrated by people who never had any interest in its intended purpose after finding it installed on devices they do not own, but hold or have held some type of usage privilege for, e.g. through school, another type of educational institution or their workplace.

- This extension is just awful! First and foremost, it's impossible to remove, but thankfully, Chrome is finally removing it from the store. My school uses it, and it restricts access to certain websites. In short, it's a nightmare. Do yourself a favor and steer clear of this. Trust me on this one.

- now you might see the 4 stars and be like "what is this guy on??" but hear me out for a second. first things first let's talk about Trellix's anti-virus, now it does work well (not necessarily better then others but i mean it still protects your data) it does still have the same problem as most anti-virus things being that it says things that aren't viruses are viruses. next let's talk about the web control, it does work well, for the price of it (about $150 USD) you can use it to help yourself from possible bad internet habits, and it can be used for businesses. next up is School use of Trellix, schools of course are why most of you would be reading this, I would say some of it is ok and better then other school web control services, and of course schools legally have to block some things (hacking, certain activates involving children, ETC) but there are other things such as social media that they don't need to block. overall I would say it's a good service sometimes used incorrectly. P.S. stop telling the creators to kill themselves, you can disable it temporarily by opening Trellix, (as admin) clicking web controls then click the boxes that have a X or a :checkmark: then clicking apply.

- good app used for bad cause blocks unnecessary sites, go to your task manager (ctrl, alt, and delete) look for trellix web control service and right click to end the task, if it doesnt let you end it regularly then right click "go to details" right click what's highlighted then click "properties" then click the security tab, click "advanced" then click "disable inheritance, then click "remove all inherited permissions from this object" then click apply and it should be good 😴😴
