- Extension feels very clunky, like it's a low priority. if it closes then when you reopen it, you have to wait for it to load again when you reopen it. The ui is generally quite laggy, and it's hard to ignore that when I'm constantly having to reopen it to add yet another rapist website to my split-tunnelling exemption list. It would be nice to get some context menu commands to quickly add a site to the list in two clicks instead of, like, five

- (Free version) Cannot access safe known websites to log in. Have to disconnect and reconnect all the time. That's not a problem; the big issue is I cannot select the closest server without paying for the premium plan...; due to this, the server it picks is regularly in Netherlands and I'm in USA, it makes the speed of the connection very slow.

- I'm a Proton User! (paid version) I use all the tools available from Proton! And I enjoy using ProtonVPN the most! I use both as standalone app as the browser extension! The browser extension is just a click away and it's super fast! And Reliable! Using the browser extension allows me to show specifics about one country to my students while the whole system remains on my geolocation! Kind of location multi tasking! It works and it's fun to use!

- Easiest VPN app I have ever used and as an added bonus... I don't have to pay to use this one! All of the other VPN apps make you pay to use it no matter what. Yes, they might give you a 7 day free trial but it's not the same as being able to use it every day for a month. You get a better sense of how it works for you if you use it longer that a week. Plus this one you can stay with the free subscription rather than having to pay for a higher subscription to keep using it. I would say this is the best free app I have ever used...I am still using it and have no intention of switching to a different one... ever.

- Works well! Somehow my domain is blocked by some websites even though my IP does not appear in any of the blacklist databases. It's very strange. But alas, thanks to Proton VPN I can now do 21st century things like paying my cell phone bill and order groceries online!

- I like it but it is not working as the one I installed outside of Edge. It always disconnected and if I disable the one outside Edge,it will not work (disconnected).Edge and network speed too will start to slow down. Unsintalled it and tried running Edge with just Proton VPN outside Edge and it turn back to normal. It refuse to connect too if the one outside Edge is disconnected. I love it but have to uninstalled it because of this 2 issues and it consume too much bandwidth too.

- Ping and latency are on the higher side, so performance isn’t always ideal, and as others have pointed out, this works more like a proxy than a full VPN. Still, I really appreciate that Proton offers unlimited bandwidth even on the free plan—something very rare to find. While the speed may not be the best, giving users truly free and unlimited access shows real commitment to privacy and accessibility. Thanks to Proton for making this possible!
