The extension is incredibly easy to use. You specify when you want Chrome to close down and when you want it to start back up. At the "lockout" time, Goodnight Chrome will block you from accessing any new pages and suggest a fun offline activity like reading a book or calling your mom.
To use the parental control feature, you just create a profile and set the time that you want your child to be offline. Simple as that.

I had issues with another extension not working for a few months, and decided to give this a go. I use it for websites like Netflix, where I can't disable the "play next episode automatically" - This works wonders; also for longer YouTube videos. Pretty neat extension to use, to auto "close"/hibernate tabs, so they don't keep blasting audio or keep playing while you're sleeping. Simply pick a time, and set it to be available a minute later, refresh the tab and it'll resume where you let off :)
Doesn't work. PERIOD. The app is a good idea but don't waste your time downloading this piece of junk.
Got a notification that it was going into effect in 1 minute...and then nothing happened.

I disagree with the comment of Tierra Hawkins because I tried this extension and it REALLY WORKS on my Chromebook. When I first installed this app, the settings TAKE EFFECT, set it to a specific time and SAVE EASILY. I'm so glad that I discovered this extension. It's a total lifesaver. Highly recommended to everyone!
It's a unique and very helpful extension. It saves my settings easily. It really helps me get back to reality at night, especially in my kids that help break their addiction to the internet and getting better sleep. Highly recommend.

It doesnt work at aaall,i dont know why others says it works on theirs,cuz it deosnt work on my chromebook whatsoever AT AAALLL!Thats just messed up man!WTF r yall talking about?Its NOT working!!!I made some changes to my settings like set it to a specific time and it doesnt take effect at ALLL!The setting time just turned back to the original time when i first installed this app,it doesnt even save my settings and stay that way,it just goes back to the way it was at first which is NOT the way I had it!UNINSTALLING until u fix this issue!!!
Really liked this extension. My kids are now off their computers at the time I set. No ifs, ands, or buts. Total lifesaver. If you have kids and struggle with them getting off their screens, you got to get this!

This extension helps a lot with getting my kids offline. The ease that they get off their computers is without a doubt worth the small monthly cost. I highly recommend it to other parents

I also saw that my kids performance at school improved tremendously due to this chrome extension as they are getting better sleep. I highly recommend other parents to install this chrome extension on their kids computers.
It just does not work, on my chromebook. The settings I make do not take any effect.
This unique app helps overcome the tendency many people have (myself included) to get caught-up with online browsing beyond the point of productivity or useful endeavor. Not only late at night, but during the day, a simple reminder helps bring the offline real world back into focus, as it should be.
This is a gorgeously designed app that is great for keeping you offline when you know it's best for you! Very easy to use and helpful in keeping my priorities straight : )
