• (2025-03-17) Igor Babin: I used to rely on the old Notepad extension, which was great, but it got removed from Chrome. Advanced Notepad is the closest alternative in terms of features and ease of use. However, there are some missing features and issues: No search function, which is essential. No sync between devices, and the restore backup feature doesn’t work for me. No drag-and-drop option to rearrange notes. Since the old Notepad had 200K users, many are looking for a good replacement. If the developers fix these three issues, this extension has a big chance to go viral! For now, I’m giving it 2 stars, but if these are fixed, I’ll gladly update my rating to 5 stars.

• (2024-07-31) Vikas: I tried this notepad extension, and couldn't resist to switch over https://chromewebstore.google.com/detail/browser-notepad/nnipoonecjaegdmdlkbnajjejcammiel?authuser=0&hl=en-GB although I am using advanced notepad since 5 months, there is no dark mode and local backup option, and this extension solved it for me
• (2024-05-08) NightriderXP1: Ok, I can't really rate this since I can't find the Notepad after I installed it. Where's it hidden? It's not in the sidebar where a notepad would be most helpful. None of the icons along the top appear to go to the new notepad either. I don't see it in the Chrome menu. How in the world do you find it???
• (2024-02-06) Heather Putnam: i used this extension a few years ago when i was doing a lot of work with keywords and i wanted to use it again and couldn't remember the name. I'm so glad i found it again. i really like that is easily accessible from anywhere in chrome and that you can organize you're notes with titles and switch back and forth between them from the sidebar interface. thanks so much! My favorite feature is its a pop up at the top of any tab and you don't have to switch to a new tab to view it.

• (2023-04-13) Kazzy Crimson: Really useful tool where I can store all my text items that I need to reproduce regularly. The only thing that could make this tool even better would be the ability to resize the text window. Some of my recurring text blocks are quite long and not being able to see them full is quite annoying.

• (2022-06-27) Stephen Alexander: This is the first extension I install in any new Edge or Chrome browser on any new machine. It's wonderful for all sorts of things and works beautifully. I've tried over two dozen other notepad add-ins, and none of them come close to Advanced Notepad in ability and ease of use. Thanks, programmers!

I've used this Advanced Notepad powered by JSONbin.io for 3 years so far, very happy, and glad we still have some good engineers around. (One tiny problem... cloud backup does not work for me. But it's totally fair for a free user myself.) I used other plugins including Evernote, Advanced Notepad is the best.

My only gripe is that you can't set titles for each note, it'll just take the first characters you type and use those. But you can't have everything, so I'd still say this is hands down the best notepad extension.

• (2019-09-28) Matt Kimura: I love it, it can make multiple different notes, and it can also backup the notes to the cloud. I've lost my offline notes in other extensions whenever I had to restart my computer. So having cloud backup is important for me.

To access notes one need only click the Blue "Quick Notes Bar to scroll through notes - and I haven't even used the formatting tools yet 4_) Yess! I Like It! I Think I'll Keep It!
