We follow Chrome's minimum permissions policy and only request the following permissions:
- Access to keepa.com: needed for communication with our servers to provide the extension with price history data and handle your (optional) user account for price tracking.
- Access to amazon pages: Required to embed our price history graph directly on Amazon product pages.
- "declarativeNetRequestWithHostAccess" and "cookies": These enable the extension to make requests on its own to the pages listed above. This communication enables, among others, the MAP reveal feature (shows hidden prices directly on the product pages) and Stock reveal feature (shows available stock of 3rd party merchants).
- "storage": Enables the extension to store data (like your settings) locally in your browser. Like cookies.
- "contextMenus": Enables a context menu entry which allows you to open multiple products shown on an Amazon page on Keepa.com. Disabled by default.
When you click an eBay link in the Keepa Box, it’s routed through the eBay affiliate program.

On April 14th, I checked the price history of a specific product, and it showed ₹260.70 for April 6th. However, when I checked the same graph for the same product again today (April 16th), it now shows ₹349.50 for April 6th. They seem to be in cahoots with Amazon, deceiving customers who rely on their tracking tools in good faith.

- (2025-02-24) Angela W: I have been using this for years and it has always worked perfectly for me. I read several of the negative reviews so I went back to mine and checked on a couple of comments in the bad reviews. I am not logged into Keepa. I may have registered years ago, but I am using it without logging in so I don't know how it would know if I am registered or not. I am only using the free version. I went to see what the paid version adds and I wouldn't think it adds anything that the typical consumer looking to buy products would need. The free version is all you need if you are a buyer wanting to know the price history of a product or want to be notified if the price drops. It shows the price history for the product as well as for used versions. It can show the price history for more than a year. You can set desired prices for the main buy box or a used version, or basically any of the price options and it will send you an email if the price drops below your desired price. On another tab, there are graphs to track the price for all of the variations of the product (color, style) listed on the page. I think the paid tools would be geared more towards sellers. You can see the top sellers list, the entire category tree for the site, sales rankings, and things like that. If you don't need those things and only want to see price history, you don't need the paid version. Just used the free one and it should work great. I have seen things "on sale" for supposedly 20% off and when I look at my trusty Keepa graph, I see that 2 weeks ago it was this "sale" price and had been for months. They just had bumped up the price for a couple of weeks before putting it on "sale". I really use it for things like that. I want to see if the price has gone up or down recently. If it has gone up and the price tends to jump around, I'll wait until it goes down again unless I have to have it right away. Keep in mind that it may not be the seller raising the price, it may be one seller has sold out and it's a different seller that has a higher price. Keepa, an "undo close tab", and my password manager are the first ones I install if I'm on a new computer. Those are my 3 "have to have" extensions. To me, it is that important to have.

Also, I really like the alert feature when the price drops on an item. If you ain't using this already, give it a try and it will up your Amazon shoppin game pretty much instantly.

So, you have to provide trial, because it will help students to learn how amazon work and how to use keepa. This is a draw back. Other alternative like Buy bot pro also provide 30 day trial.

I discover suddenly the very convenient buttons to zoom on different periods (1 year, 3 month, week, ...) disappeared, I'm force now to change setting to display all time ever scale then use mouse to frame a specific period, the buttons where very convenient, I hope they will come back
