This Chrome Extension fixes this annoying behavior and disables the scroll on the calendar grid in Google Calendar. You won't be able to navigate to next/previous month using the scroll. You will have to use the arrows < > buttons, as normal people expect it to be.

- (2025-03-12) Arundas TC: "This extension is no longer available because it doesn't follow best practices for Chrome extensions." To developer: Please make it be supported again. To other users: Alternatives you can try: - Google Calendar Disable Month Scroll - ScrollCancel - Google Calendar Scroll Stopper
- (2024-11-06) Gina Greene: This extension is the best! Easy fix to a super annoying and inconvenient Google problem. Like it was literally a nightmare just doing everyday things until I found this extension. And WHYYYYYY is google trying to say it will soon no longer be supported. Please get your life together, Google.

- (2024-04-10) Simon van Zwanenberg: Again, as Sophie and Nick have reported, this extension now only works before the < or > arrows are used, after this, sadly, it's no use. Note. Refreshing the page after using the < or > arrows resets the extension, and it works again, until..
- (2024-02-26) Nick Bailey: Like Sophie reported - this only works before the < or > month arrows are selected. Following month change this extension doesn't work and I'm back to super jumpy month view (anyone else find it picks up additional mouse scrolls and jumps multiple months by itself). Google calendar is woefully inadequate. Like we can't shade week/weekend differently. Google really don't care anymore.
- (2024-02-26) Sophie M.: Only works from when I first open Google Calendar until I the first click of the right arrow to go to the next month. From that point on, month scroll is back on again.
- (2024-02-22) Cornwall Van Windows: A real MUST HAVE, the calendar on my Mac drives me NUTS without it, had it for years with no issues however I had to recently delete and reinstall it which just served to remind me how much i NEED it... 5*

- (2024-01-29) Amy Kelso: AT LAST! This a great solution to an annoying problem. Calendar scrolling with the Magic Mouse has been driving me crazy for years. Why can't Google make this a settings feature?!

- (2023-10-02) Bradd and Hall: Scroll Disabler works great on a Mac w/ magic mouse. Even with side swiping turned off on Mac Settings it still swiped left and right constantly. Problem solved with this extension. My quality of life regarding scheduling on Google Calendar just got way better!

- (2022-01-31) Petteri Sulonen: It ought to only disable horizontal scrolling in the month view. I still want to scroll day and week views. Consequently it's not really usable for me. The ideal solution would be to add a threshold to horizontal scrolling so that you need a significant gesture to trigger it, but that really ought to be up to Google's UI people to do it.

- (2021-09-16) Christopher Soder-Duncan: Using google calendar was a massive pain for me before this. My mouse scrolls sideways at the gentlest input, constantly putting me several months in the future or past while trying to interact with the calendar. This solved that issue :)

- (2021-08-03) Steve Hollingsworth: It has been an everlasting headache to find the calendar scrollings month after month forward or backward.and this instantly solved the problem. (Don't forget to close and reopen the browser after installing.) Someone made a comment about it should allow scroll in week view. Maybe a good idea but I never use it.

- (2020-08-31) T Pipher: Works Great! WHY OH WHY would Google shoot themselves in the foot by making there own product stupid! At minimum I should be able to turn this on and off with a toggle. Thank you so much for doing Google Engineers job and making it usable!

- (2020-08-31) Evyn Fife: I can understand the disappointment for users that need vertical scrolling capabilities on week view but as someone who only needs the month view to STAY. STILL.... GAHHHH!!!! Thank you so much! My life is much easier and I no longer toss and turn at night dreaming of being thrown into a google calendar loophole. I would love to know how far people have mistakenly thrown themselves. I think my max was about a year and a half into the future.
