LocalCDN is a web browser extension that emulates Content Delivery Networks to improve your online privacy. It intercepts traffic, finds supported resources locally, and injects them into the environment. All of this happens automatically, so no prior configuration is required.

Would you like to see other CDN or versions (e.g. jQuery or Bootstrap) integrated? Feel free to open an issue or pull request.
Donations are possible. The possibilities for donations can be displayed in the extension. (Reduces traffic and prevents your IP from being listed in the server logs. Therefore a small offline help page is also integrated.)
For clarification: This extension doesn't create an external connection by itself. LocalCDN contains these frameworks/libraries in add-on storage. This is the reason why the size of LocalCDN is 10 MB. There is also a donation page and a short FAQ page inside the extension. There are only external connections in the form of hyperlinks that the user must actively click on. This includes, for example, the test page or the translation platform "Weblate". All links are marked.

- (2021-11-26) 古明地恋: It makes some websites load slower. I always reckon my pc has some problems until I turn off this extension.
- (2021-11-07) Aura Sphere: Works pretty well. I don't recall seeing a broken website.
- (2021-08-28) PhunkeyMunkey: Is this extension working on Chrome? The counter remains on 0 no matter which website visited. EDIT: Nevermind, it's working. Thanks.
- (2021-07-23) Alex: Good to replace Decentraleyes at first. But after using it for quite a while I have to say I don't recommend this extension at all. Far too many websites break with it on. I constantly have to disable it for things to load properly. I check these sites on their website checker and it always says no problems found and website should work properly except they don't at all. Things like buttons don't load up. and sometimes serious things like some big companies' support links don't even show up with this extension on. No point in having this if I constantly have to disable it...
- (2021-04-21) James Lewis: The latest version of the extension (2.6.5) defaults to setting "blockGoogleFonts" to "true" but has no UI for changing this, probably because the feature is supposed to only work in Firefox-based browsers; to change this, you need to export your settings, change the appropriate line in the text-file, and then re-import, and otherwise, many sites will have unusual fonts.
- (2021-03-24) Nocturnal Owl Digitalist: The issues I had with Decentraleyes are now amplified in by this local CDN. Their link to test and check their service doesnt work and after installing this majority to 90 percent of sites fail to load at all. I have to disable this to do my browsing and working. I request dev to improve this so that one doesnt have to install this to disable it to do the browsing. See ublock origin, it doesnt hinder in browsing speed or loading of pages. I have it will be a rightful successor of Decentraleyes where the Decentraleyes fails or fails to update itself.
- (2021-02-28) Party Pat: Feature richer that decentraleyes. - internal statistics - customization with list - import, export - open-sourced - compared with decentraleyes, localcdn is regular updated

- (2020-08-23) Seneca: Frequently updated with support for more domains. In short, it's Decentraleyes but better!
- (2020-08-19) J: It is very easy to use. Can you add some front-end font libraries in the next update? For example: font awesomecan also replace some foreign public CDNs with https://www.jsdelivr.com/
- (2020-08-17) Jordan Wirth: Decentraleyes is not regularly updated, and does not include as many features. Highly recommend this one
- (2020-08-03) WENDY: 10 out of 10. Much improved. -->> Please add a statistics page to demonstrate how many requests were redirect, how many requests per day (avg) and how much data has been saved for last 24hr, 7 days, 1 month and 1 year. THANK YOU! :D
