Tree-based browser history navigation and visualization
Visual History delinearizes your browsing history with a richer alternative to the Back and Forward buttons. Instead of a stack of past websites, Visual History maintains the forest of trees that represent each tab’s path around the internet, and lets you easily backtrack to any site you recently visited. Routes that normally have to be manually re-traced, like jumping between search results or forum posts, can be intuitively and quickly directed without revisiting the parent page.
Navigate the tree using the Ctrl+Arrow or Cmd+Arrow key shortcuts, or by clicking the tree icon in the toolbar.

- (2019-05-13) Annie .B: How do you access the tree history exactly? Clicking on the toolbar button doesn't do anything.... A shame since the app seemed pretty useful.
- (2017-07-29) Garett Ridge: This opened fine for me. If you're expecting it to do something on a brand new tab with no history, or a tab whose history was made before you installed the extension.... well, think about it. There's still a lot to complain about: The website doesn't work and so there are no instructions. The history tree only branches when you use the back button and navigate down a different link; it is not aware of links you open in new tabs, which really makes it a lot less useful. All histories get deleted when you close the tab (even if you re-open it right away) so using this to log your history long term is out of the question. There's no interactivity on the page and as others said the icon doesn't even let you know the application is alive if there's no history in the current tab for it to show you. It's extremely important that someone implement a de-linearized browsing history that works, which this could be if they improved it a lot.

- (2017-03-27) Lukas Petry: Hitting the extension icon does nothing. I too find it a little bit suspicious...
- (2017-03-01) Andy Barrette: It simply doesn't work. Hitting the extension icon does nothing, yet Chrome warned me that it needs access to all information from sites that I visit. Very suspicious.
- (2016-07-21) It does, in fact, work. After installing the app, choose a new tab, do some browsing then click on the app icon and it will show the browsing history of that tab.
- (2016-07-02) Alan House: I don't usually review things, but I feel I need to leave one here for this as it doesn't actually work at all. Click the button for the extension and nothing happens I'm pretty sure the developer is a complete fraud and got some of his fraud friends to leave reviews for this as the only 3 reviews were 5 stars all left on the same day. To the developer: You must be so proud of yourself for this awesome fake extension. I'm so interested in knowing more about you and the series of spectacular events in your life that led up to this profound moment where you decided to release a fake extension.
- (2015-12-15) Matthew Krueger: this is pretty great for studying.
- (2015-12-15) i R HAZARDOUS: This App is awesome! This app helps me with finding me recent browsing history. Cool!
- (2015-12-15) Tom Gustafson: This is a great extension which makes navigating browser history more functional. Instead of the linear backwards path that is the default in Chrome, you can quickly go directly to any page in your history very quickly.
