Chrome Permissions: Read and change all your data on the websites you visit (Required to connect to Brightspace and Canvas) Read and change your browsing history (Required to find sites to connect to) Display notifications (I-Know sends push notifications so you don't miss assignments) Communicate with cooperating websites (Required so we know when there's a bug) Originally made by a student at BYU-Idaho. Can be used at any school using Brightspace by D2L or Canvas by Instructure.

  • (2023-09-19) christyne macavinta: I've had this extension for a long time and it is a life saver. It reminds me of everything I need due. And then I don't have to make a checklist all by myself. I've recommended it to a ton of people and it's definitely saved by behind a couple times. I also like that it shows you with color on the calendar which days the most homework will be due. That's helped me schedule and make sure not to plan too much around those heavy assignment days. Anyway, thanks for all the help!
  • (2022-03-18) Luis Alberto Camarillo Estudillo: This has been so helpful these last few years! Amazing extension, thanks! I have been able to keep track of all my assignments through this.
  • (2022-01-20) Michael Muir: would be 5 stars if it worked on chrome based browsers on linux but only a little black box pops up on manjaro. it works great on my windows desktop but on my linux laptop it doesn't work.
  • (2021-08-17) Emily Mahana Yamada: Previously my review would have been five stars, but just recently it has stopped working. I'll click on it and it will say "Installing - I-know is setting up" then after a couple of seconds it will say "Set up a connection: Open your school's learning system and open I-Know." My school runs on canvas, the same thing I have used for years. It worked perfectly in the spring. Now, it is nonfunctional. The semester starts this week and I don't know how I will survive without it functioning. I tried reaching out to the creator through synov.net with no reply for over a week. I will update my review when this is resolved. I really did love this extension when it worked! I have used it since my second or third semesters of my college career circa 2016 or 2017. Now I am in grad school and I still rely on it. I believe I even paid for premium? Unsure it has been so long.
  • (2021-05-11) Johnathon Peterson: It won't load my assignments and keeps saying that I need to open my school's learning system and open I-Know. I've done this and have refreshed the page, removed and re-added I-Know but it still doesn't work.
  • (2021-05-04) Ben Fuqua: Ok, you put out an update, but still didn't help the fact that I cannot connect. I was able to one time but then when I re-opened it, all of my assignments were gone. Also, add back the feature where we can select which classes to display. I-know, for the one second it worked, displayed all of the classes that I had ever taken so I was showing that I had over 8 assignments due every day when I am only taking 2 100 level classes. Also, bring back the add event button.
  • (2021-05-04) Scott Saylin: BRING BACK THE ADD BUTTON I-Know has become an essential part of my day. I use it for everything. With the new update, the option to add an event has been removed for some reason. BRING IT BACK Also, the new update opens to tomorrow's items, not today.
  • (2021-05-04) Jake Emory: Thanks for updating the extension without asking us what we wanted and releasing it before it was ready. Lost all my assignments, I want my money back. BOO
  • (2021-05-04) Viacheslav Nazarenko: Commenting on a new update (May 3 2021). Weird things started happening last night (assuming you were implementing on dev). - lost counter on the extension icon - clicking on it brought me an I-Know unlinked from the Canvas - tried to link - failed - today had to remove the extension and re-install it again (this made it work and showed new UI) Even though I like the idea of minimalism and simplifying the UI there are few things to consider: - You show the number of assignments due by displaying blue dots. They are too small (hard to see). - I am taking some heavy classes and I got 20+ assignments due Saturday. How are you going to show that number? It was super convenient to have a number representation of the number of assignments. This way I could plan ahead more efficiently if I can see that I have a heavy day. - It is Monday today, but the I-Know calendar doesn't show my anything for Satuurday. I would be nice to see assignment load for the entire week (again, if I have total 5 assignments due from Monday through Wednesday and 20 due Saturday it would be nice to know that in advance and start working on them early). Edit: Thank you for bringing the stress level feature back. It's amazing now.
  • (2021-05-03) Merisol Whittle: I love this extension, it's so helpful! Although, it updated and now it won't even let me access it.
  • (2021-05-03) Benjamin Fuqua: I absolutely loved this app, but the recent update that was sent out wrecked the extension. There is no number any more on the calendar that shows me how many assignments I have on that day so I can look into the future and see. Also, the days on the calendar don't match the day the assignment is due. And now it won't even connect to my school's organization. Please pull this update and go back to the old one until you get these things fixed. having the calendar lined up with the actual due date is pretty important. I have loved using this application and I want to keep using it but these bugs make it so I can't use the application
  • (2021-05-03) Grant Matai Cross: Hey! I loved this extension! so whats the deal! why did you just ruin it with an update! Now I can't change it to be full screen in a tab!?!?! Please change it back. Right now.
  • (2020-10-09) Jeff Schmeltzer: I appreciate the extension very much but for about 2 months now I've reached out a few times for assistance with extension problems. If you even look in reviews a moderator says message through the app and they will replace faster (which it's been over a month and I haven't received a reply. ------- The Issue: I load up the extension on my Canvas and it says, "Oops, please login and try again." I do this maybe 2 times a day for 20 minutes logging out of canvas and back in. Same issue, uninstall extension and does the same thing. I've tried a few things in the settings of extension and just frustrated of the extension at this point.
  • (2020-02-26) Alex Shnyrov: Very heavy. It takes a long time to load. It's faster for me to check assignments manually in canvas. Also, it is very annoying that I have to manually check completed assignments. The good thing is the push notifications, but because you have to check your completed assignments manually, sometimes you get notifications for things that you've already worked on.
  • (2020-02-19) Vlady Matos: AMAZING AMAZING extension. As an extreme procrastinator and ADHD student, It has helped me stay ahead in my classes. I am able to see which assignments are due soon and sends out reminders of due dates and deadlines.
  • (2020-01-21) Courtney Smith: Old Review: Just an FYI for potential downloaders- it doesn't work anymore. It used to be amazing, though. Edit: Owner fixed the problem and was quick to message me about how he was getting the problem fixed, and once the problem was resolved. So grateful, this semester is my last and now I don't have to organize everything myself! Thanks I-Know!!!!!!!
  • (2020-01-13) Megan Madero: I used to love this extension, but it suddenly stopped working and now it won't load any of my courses anymore. Super annoying after I have come to rely on this extension to help me see what I have to do every week.
  • (2020-01-11) Katy Webber: Last semester this was very helpful!!! But now, it is not adding each assignment for this assignment so I am missing assignments.
  • (2020-01-09) Henrique Tedeschi: It is a great tool, but it has been crashing non-stop these past days. Nothing helps, using in a new tab, in a new window, or as a popup. I also tried to remove and install again, nothing... Keeps crashing and it doesn't say why. I am trying to use it with instructure canvas at BYU-I. Hopefully it comes back to a working state, this was a life-saver.
  • (2020-01-08) Sajesh Pradhan: Works great when it works properly. It has been crashing for a while now. I have removed and reinstalled many times.
  • (2020-01-08) Savanah Rudd: This extension is AMAZING, when it works. I have rarely had problems with it the past two years of using it until this week. It has said "I-Know Crashed" for the past three days. I've tried removing and re-downloading the extension multiple times and nothing works. I've also tried contacting someone to help me and never received any help. I'd love to get it working again.
  • (2019-04-30) David M: I love this app! It is the only reason I was able to get a 4.0 last semester. Full Time Student. Thanks!!!!!!!
  • (2019-02-19) T.D. Eastvold: What a great extension! I use this with D2L and it is so much better than anything brightspace gives you. The ability to quickly browse through your due dates and click through to the assignments is amazing. I was using brightspace pulse before this, which has a similar feature, but can only be used on mobile, which makes it pretty useless. I-Know makes planning and executing your weekly homework so much easier. I would urge anyone using the D2L system to give it a try! The developers support is unbelievably good! I was having a sign in issue because of a pseudo class my school put into the courses area. I reached out to the developer and they pushed out an update for me within the hour.
  • (2019-01-07) Tori-Anne Andersen: I use this everyday, and it has been a lifesaver. I have never missed an assignment because of this extension, and it it is the best thing i have ever gotten.
  • (2018-10-24) Nihad Kalathingal: ABSOLUTELY PERFECT!!
  • (2018-10-04) Ashley Stewart: This is such a great idea, designed and implemented very professionally. I don't think any LMS that I have dealt with has a good system for tracking due dates. This makes it so I never use my planner! I've had a really good experience with this and I recommend it to everyone struggling with the transition between Brightspace and Canvas. Its simplicity makes it sophisticated. Some criticism: I'm not sure if this is browser related, but sometimes I click on it and it doesn't open. I've had to reload my instances of chrome and clear my cache and that doesn't seem to work so I've just ended up uninstalling and reinstalling. Also it would be helpful for when it's reading Brightspace assignments that are on a checklist, it could say that the checklist ITEM closes, and not the checklist itself. Course Content Links are a great idea, but now that most of my courses are in canvas, all those links are to courses that I work in as an admin, and also courses that are from past semesters.
  • (2018-08-31) Leah Garrison: good, but need some key items with paid version to make it work for me. Right now my i-know dash is cluttered with things that are not even assignments or dated correctly. wEven with paid version you cannot edit items that are synced. one of my classes changed the due dates for things without updating the info online. also there are some "assignments" shown on the extension that are not actually assignments. (its a module or description of the week). No option to delete items. When u try to get a link for an assignment, it does not save your "work" on the assignment you're creating. will simply vanish.
  • (2018-05-10) Tesia Kellar: I will update this once I get a reply. I actually love this extension! I had it on Firefox as an extension, but one day it just disapeared! I have been trying to find it or get in contact with anyone in the company for about 2-weeks now, but so far no luck :(
  • (2018-04-04) Genevieve Kopping: Switching over to I-Learn 3 was a nightmare! Ryan Allred saved my bacon when he created this extension. I love the what-if calculator, the option to add due dates (great for discussion post deadlines), and that I can have an accurate checklist of all my assignments. Awesome!
  • (2018-04-02) Ryan Walker: Awesome extension. Saves me a lot of time and is super easy to use.
  • (2018-03-21) Abigail Rose: Edit: Now no assignments from that class show up. I am grateful for the reminders of other assignments due, but I have to use a separate planner now to make sure I'm not missing those assignments. This is disappointing. Original review: Very helpful most of the time, but there is one specific class that certain assignments wont show up for. They MAY show up for a few seconds on the day that they are due, but only for a few seconds and then they disappear. I have almost missed several assignments for this class because of it.
  • (2018-03-10) Carlos Garcia: Thanks for this amazing app. I wished I could have this before. Amazing idea Ryan. Thanks for making it free as well.
  • (2018-01-16) Chris Jackson: So easy
  • (2017-11-15) Sam Richardson: This extension has helped me so much! I am a good student and I would do my homework if I knew when it was due, but I have a hard time keeping track of things. This is a life saver!
  • (2017-11-09) Katelyn Barnard: This App has SAVED MY BACON more than I can say! It makes planning for class so easy! Much better than the Brightspace site. I contacted the developer to have him mute all the assignments that were opened but not immediately due, and he did. 1000 stars! I highly recommend it!
  • (2017-10-27) Yasmin Smith: Excellent extension! Works flawlessly and I use it daily to manage my online course load.
  • (2017-09-15) Devan Marshall: This is an amazing extension. It has helped me organize my work load and to keep track of my grades. I don't know what I would do without it. It is a must have with the disaster of I-Learn 3.0. Also, the customer support is amazing. Ryan personally reached out to me and helped me fix some issues I was having. It is with out a doubt worth every penny.
  • (2017-07-21) Addison Wilson: Fantastic. It gets better with every update!
  • (2017-06-08) Austin Dean: I've had this since it was free and this version is at it's best it's ever been. It does everything that I've been wanting it to. I would seriously consider paying for it now just because of how easy it has made my life. I could not survive my online classes without this extension. I-Know makes up for everything that I-Learn doesn't have, and more. I have recommended it to a ton of people and I will continue to do so.
  • (2017-04-27) Sam Crossley: I've had this for about 8 months now, and I love this. It tracked my assignments and gave me reminders when I had 2 hours left to turn an assignment in. Now with the new update, I am at a lose for words. It still tracks my assignments and gives reminders, but it also makes it easy to see updates, and news from professors, campus events, to view grades (past and present. This is just an amazing extension that I think would only benefit someone. Keep up the good work, and thank you! :)
  • (2017-04-18) Johnny Puckett: I got this extension when it was free and I loved it. Now it doesn't load any of my classes and it is "forever refreshing" the page. Is this because it is out of date? Do I have to pay for a newer version in order for it to work?
  • (2017-04-17) Patricia Sprouse: I love it... when it works. It doesn't add all my classes at the beginning of a new semester, only some of them. And sometimes not all the assignments show up. But when it's working, it helps a lot.
  • (2017-03-29) Chelsea Ivy: OH MY GOODNESS! I LOVE THIS HEAVEN-SENT THING! Thank you, Ryan Allred. One of my friends showed it to me Fall 2016 and I am so grateful for it. It is very nice to see all that I have due in the upcoming days and plan accordingly without having to navigate all of I-Learn. Plus it is always fun to check things off and see all the green! Yes it does cost $5, but so does a Little Ceasar's pepperoni pizza. I-Know is #worthit
  • (2017-03-23) Daliana Dickson: So, I was missing a ton of my homework because it would not tell me that I had anything to do for my math class! But I did! And now, after the update, its not showing me my math class homework OR my science home work! this is awful. I was my $5 back!
  • (2017-03-23) Eric bian: i love this extension, but i dont think its smart for people to pay $5 a month for it. and it made me pay when i changed my computer, it would be nice i know why please let me know why.
  • (2017-02-26) Tim Russon: This helps, but I feel like the extension has gotten worse with time. I wish it would update the completion of my assignments automatically. Instead, I have to manually check them off. Then, half the time it un-checks work I've already done. It also takes a bit to load. I feel this would all be a little more forgiveable if the extension was still free, or at least a lot cheaper. I got it back when it was free (and worked better, frankly). I would not pay $5 for this today. Bottom line. I still use it and it is helpful, but there are some bugs that could be worked on.
