  • (2021-03-01) LMSven Järgenstedt: This is a great extension. For me as a teacher it works perfectly. It´s easy to use and after having created your own comments, you can use it for many (all?) subjects. Some months ago I had some problem. I contacted the team and I got very quick support althouht it was at a Saturday! (Tt showed up that it was due to a google update). I really would recommand this program and I am very happy that I found out about this addon.
  • (2020-08-29) Keith White: vert helpful to have comments ready at hand . . .. instead of typing each one
  • (2020-08-04) K Mason Schecter: An incomparable time saver for annotating student essays. Custom comments are easily added and modified, and each generation of this extension has improved significantly upon the last. Truly excellent.
  • (2019-12-01) Chris P: Good concept. Interface looks like it's from the 80s. It would be great if you could edit the prepopulated comments instead of only adding your own. Also, the option to edit the comment prior to posting allows the opportunity to personalize the feedback. Overall, not good enough to replace the Canned Comments feature in Google Classroom (which is FREE).
  • (2019-11-13) PayPal Payments: Great instructional resource for professors to quickly navigate student papers and provide accurate writing issues.
  • (2019-11-13) Blue X: Fantastic option for inserting canned responses into Google Drive documents with ease. Not only is this useful as a teacher for grading but I could see this as being a great professional resource too for others. Keep up the great work guys!
  • (2019-10-15) Adam Huttenga: I was able to get the extension up and running during the 7 day trial and I purchased the license right away. I'd recommend this for any educator who uses Google Docs for assignments. However, I am having similar problems to others in the comments. I also was unable to us E-comments with my school's email domain/Google account, but I WAS able to use it with my personal, non-school account. My IT guy wisely told me to change the Chrome account to my personal one and I was finally able to purchase the extension. Eventually, I was able to use E-comments on both my personal and school Google account (again, don't get that confused with the Chrome account). However, it's stopped working over the last few days. I can use the extension while I'm on my personal Google account for Drive and Docs, but not when I switch to my school account - which is where I really need it. I reached out to the support email once a few weeks ago and got no reply. I sent it again to the same address today and also sent the same message to Mark Pennington who is in this thread. Hopefully they will be able to get back soon and help get this sorted out?
  • (2019-08-14) Dr. Desiree Alexander: This is an amazing extension. It not only allows you to grade quickly using ACTIONABLE feedback, but it also allows you to leave video and audio feedback all in one place! AWESOME! And the creators are very hands-on with feedback! A great experience so far!
  • (2019-07-14) Mark Pennington: Teachers and workplace supervisors will love this using this extension to save time and provide better writing feedback.

  • (2022-10-06, v:1.22.1) Willow VetHospital: e-Comments Not Working
It won't open at all. I can sometimes get the little blue eC to come up but it stays that way with either "hide" or "show" next to the eC.
  • (2022-09-08, v:1.22.1) Dylan Andersen: On the current version of Chrome, e-comments does not work
Please help! The button never shows up. Tried your troubleshooting steps which are rudimentary and it still doesn't work.
  • (2020-11-07, v:1.10.1) LMSven Järgenstedt: Not working?
Since a couple of days I am not able to insert comments from e-Comments. When I choose one om my prefabracated comments there is only an empty google docs comments. Has anything been changed from your side. Sven from Sweden
  • (2020-10-10, v:1.9.15) Guylaine P: Customizing set names
Hi! This extension is a realy good time saver, thanks! I was wondering ,since I am working in Canada, the set names does not really reflect our grading schools, would it be possible to rename the set names, instead of Custom 1, 2, 3 etc... ?

  • (2020-02-05, v:1.7.1) Jonathan Hoffman: Doctopus functionality
I would love to use/purchase your extension; however, I am unable to get it to appear if I am also using Doctopus. Is there a workaround?
  • (2019-12-08, v:1.6.2) Alex Salinas-Nakanishi: Drag and drop functionality?
I would be much more likely to try out your app if I could directly drag comments onto the text, cutting out the extra time and movement of highlighting, moving the mouse back and forth and clicking. For a reference, see this app (or the well known turnitin.com platform), which are both much more expensive than yours. Just curious if this sort of functionality was on your design radar. Thanks! https://www.essaytagger.com/
  • (2019-10-13, v:1.2.3) Karen Fox: Transfer License to my other account?
In frustration, because I couldn't purchase this app using my work account (Payments App is down message) I tried it with my personal account. Of course, the payment went through, the app is purchased, but I cannot use my personal account to mark assignments. I've spent the money, but the tool cannot be used. I'd like to transfer the license to my work account. I won't be using it personally.
  • (2019-10-08, v:1.2.2) Maya Britt: add own comments
I used to use the checkmark extension which seems similar to this. I am willing to pay for an applications that works in a simliar way but I need to be able to add my own comments to the bank. I teach history and need history specific commentary. Is this possible? If not is it on the horizon? thank you

  • (2019-09-28, v:1.2.1) Lisa Rodrigues: Purchase
It took me 10 days to figure out how to use the darn thing. Now that I've got it mostly under control, my trial has expired. That's fine - but I have 75 essays to grade by tomorrow and the app won't let me purchase the full version.
  • (2019-08-20, v:1.1.3) Brock Baker: Tracking feedback to a user?
Is there currently a way to track feedback to a user (like the this add-on http://mrcaffrey.com/feedbacksheet/)? It would complete the feedback cycle by being able to track which students were given particular feedback. Thinking in a Google Classroom/assignments context.
  • (2019-08-10, v:1.1.2) CM Scott: Messes with document formatting and constantly requests permissions
Problem 1: Most severe. It messes with my document's formatting. I have tables in my documents and it cuts the text off. I disabled the extension, refreshed my document, and the formatting error was fixed, so it's definitely your extension. Fix this and I'll re-enable it. Problem 2: Less severe: It constantly asks for permissions. Why is saying yes one time not enough? Very annoying.
  • (2019-07-30, v:1.1.1) Jeanette Connally: Not opening in Docs
Hi I have all the permissions on, but when I click "on" on the toolbar, no comments show up. Please help!
  • (2019-07-12, v:1.0) Charlie Hammond: Collapsible menu
Could you add a collapsible option to your suggested comments. Just been playing with it and had to reduce the size of my doc to accommodate everything, if the menu was collapsible then we could keep the page size and easily read the posted comment after we have applied it. I found my self turning off the extension in order to do this. I am a TEL specialist in a college with 100's of members of staff and I just predicting the issues that will come back to me on this one. Great concept though, merging checkmark/commentsbank/screencastify all in one place for feedback. Superb.
  • (2019-07-12, v:1.0) Charlie Hammond: recording quality
Hi guys, great idea for an extension. I have feedback noise on my recordings for both video and audio recordings. I have tried other apps that require audio and no issues with my laptop. Thank you
