Webook feature enables you to collect knowledge fragments simply and manage them better.
Anylink enables you to create links/highlight on any text in any web pages with only 2 steps:
1. select the text you want to be highlighted/linkified.
2. click the corresponding tool button on the toolbar shown at the start of the text(you can highlight with 4 different colors).
Click the `share` button on the toolbar if you want to share your highlights to someone. A link will be generated at background and copied into clipboard right away. You can then paste it anywhere via slack/twitter or else or just bookmark it.
Anyone can check your highlights with the link generated. Even for those who doesn't install the extension
Anylink is absolutely safe and reliable since there are NO network request and all are done absolute locally!

1. *Position of toolbar is fixed* at the start of selection/highlight.
2. *Scroll marks*(colored triangle aside the scrollbar) are added to indicate the position of marks. Scroll mark acts as short link to the corresponding highlight, which scroll the page to focus the highlight when clicked.

- (2023-10-06) Dawn Reeve: Overall the functionality of this extension is great - but the fact there is a floating icon that you can't turn off through settings (without turning off the extension) means that it will cover up the top left of the page you are on... which... is sometimes used for menus and logos etc on pages you might be viewing. yes you can move the floating toolbar - but - that is extra work for something I do not use anyway. It is a pity that this is the case because overall the extension is amazing.

- (2020-07-08) Nikko Enriquez: Link does not work when opening via IE or Edge. Have not tested in other browsers. Chrome works fine though. Since the links end user can use any browser this solution is not complete.

I have the extension enabled and I even restarted Chrome after installing it. But when I select text on a website I don't get the toolbar shown in the demonstration video. I can right click on the selection and get a menu item "Annotate selected text" (with the Anylink logo) that has several options ("Link here without highlights" and a list of highlight colors), but when I select one of those options nothing happens.
