π‘ PRO TIPS & GOOD TO KNOW π‘
β‘οΈ Enable/disable the highlighter popup via the settings and highlight using keyboard shortcuts or by right-clicking text.
β‘οΈ Customize keyboard shortcuts at chrome://extensions/shortcuts
β‘οΈ Some websites may have limited compatibility.
β‘οΈ Local PDF support requires access to file URLs (see PDF setup guide: https://web-highlights.com/blog/how-to-highlight-pdfs-using-web-highlights).
β‘οΈ Right-click images to save them to your sidebar of highlights & notes.
β‘οΈ Use as a web clipper β Click the bookmark icon or right-click any website to save pages and add tags like "ReadingList" for easy reference later.
β‘οΈ Disable extension on specific websites: Click the power icon in the sidebar to disable the highlighter on a site. You can also configure a blacklisted domain list with patterns in the settings under "Excluded" domains.
β‘οΈ Sort highlights manually: Highlights should appear in the same order as on the page. If not, use the drag & drop or arrows in your annotation sidebar to rearrange them as needed.
β‘οΈ Customizable Sidebar: Change the sidebar width by dragging its edge, and align it on the left or right side of the page for a personalized experience.
β‘οΈ Switch to Advanced Highlighter Mode in settings to organize highlights with headings, paragraphs, and more in the sidebar.
β‘οΈ Multiple Colors: Choose from predefined standard and pastel shades or click the plus icon to add your own custom color.
β‘οΈ Note Taking: Use standard keyboard shortcuts like CMD + B for bold, CMD + U for underline, etc., in the note-taking editor for efficient formatting.
β‘οΈ Reader Mode: Click βOpen in Readerβ to view any article in a clean, distraction-free layout with customizable fonts, colors, and spacing. A copy of the article is saved so you can read and highlight it with full focus β even if the original changes or disappears.
β‘οΈ Focus highlights on website: Click on a highlight in the sidebar, and the page will scroll directly to the highlighted section for quick access.
β‘οΈ Color Mode: Switch between dark and light mode by clicking the sun/moon icon in the sidebar.
β‘οΈ Your data is always private unless you choose to share it.
β‘οΈ You may be exposed to affiliate links on sites you visit while using this extension, and you may be encouraged to click on them, but you are never required to do so.

- Without question one of the best tools I've used for quickly grabbing relevant info without having to context switch to store it. The premium upgrade is absolutely worth it if you take a lot of notes from YouTube, as it saves you dozens of hours by allowing you to quickly go through and pull relevant info from the transcripts instead of having to constantly replay sections. Absolute game changer for anyone that uses a "2nd brain" setup. Bonus: If you're in the field of marketing, this is the best tool you'll ever find to quickly grab insights and direct examples when researching and compiling info for your audience profiles and marketing copy.

- Do not use this extension!! It messes up your default browser styles and overwrites default website styles. In a better world this would be removed from the extensions library as intrusive and malware-like.
