This chrome extension enables you to right click on the selected English vocabularies to look it up through a google context menu button. Once a user click the button, the extension would send the user along with the vocabulary to our website. In the popup html opened by clicking the extension icon, users can type in English and click on the dictionary button to achieve the same result.
If a user is surfing the google searching website, this extension would fetch the searching keyword in Url. Once the user click the extension icon to open the popup html, the input would automatically filled with the keyword. This way, user save a little time typing in.
If a user is watching YouTube video, he/she can click the extension icon, open the popup html, click the "send to BBE" button ,and then the extension would open the bestbanana.cc website, which embeds the video the user is watching and offers enhanced functions to facilitate the subtitle-lookup process for English-as-a-Foreign-Language (EFL) spectators.
If a user is outside of YouTube and google searching page, the user could just open the popup html and click the "Go to BBE" button to open the front page of bestbanana.cc or click the dictionary button to open our dictionary page.
We design a hotkey to pop up the extension with ctrl + b, and also add a button in the extension for users to open the hotkey settings of chrome in case they don't like the default hotkey setting.
Lastly, we added a button for users to learn tips of this extension. Upon clicking, the button will bring users to a blog demonstrating how to use this extension for their own convenience.
