As of July 2 2026, version 5.7.3 of Teleparty is up and running with support for 9 services for free, including Netflix, Youtube, Disney Plus, Max and more. Premium users can also subscribe to unlock our iOS app, video chat, premium features like custom reactions, and 23 extra streaming services.

For those users who may be confused and are looking for Netflix Party, you're at the right place! In version 2.0.0 of Netflix Party we added support for three streaming services, with many more on the way. As part of this update we renamed Netflix Party to Teleparty.

- Takes a frankly BIBLICAL level of gall to offer premium features when the app can't deliver on its most basic promises. Literally will not do the bare minimum you'd expect it to do: allow two people to watch the same movie in sync. If I could rate it -5 and send you a Venmo for the time you made me waste, I'd be doing that, but a one star review is gonna have to be enough.

- Today Teleparty embedded a banner ad for FOX ONE on the website baofox.how (which is a simple static webpage). I confirmed in the inspector that the ad was added by this extension specifically, with their extension ID all over it. This isn't even a media website, and has nothing to do with Teleparty. It shouldn't have been active or doing anything on this site. This is truly a despicable way to treat paying subscribers and I've unsubscribed and uninstalled. For a product that was once an enormously useful way of connecting with friends, I can't believe they've debased Teleparty to acting like malicious adware.

- It kind of works here and there. It doesn't always sync up to the same spot of whatever you're watching so one person will be behind. Ironically, it's easier to just open your own window of whatever you're watching independently and just press play at the same time.

- Teleparty works better on Netflix than HBO, but still always requires reloading the share-link multiple times to actually join into a shared party regardless of streaming service. The shared party randomly disconnects or jumps ahead several episodes with no warning. The audio on HBO is awful with teleparty, it's super quiet and difficult to hear the show over the shared party - we resort to having to mute our mics while watching which is annoying when you enjoy speaking to one another and reacting about the shows. Overall, the extension works but it could definitely be improved. Lots of bugs, latency, difficulty with pausing the shows, etc. It's a shame because this is one of the few ways long-distance relationships can spend time together, but it's an ordeal to make it work every time. Please improve the experience, Teleparty!
