We believe learning English can and should be fun. As much fun as watching your favorite movies and TV shows on Netflix or Youtube. And Subtly is here to marry these two things ❤️.
With Subtly you can:
Translate English subtitles
See the meaning of a word in a particular context
Find different meanings of a word and ways to use it
Hear how a word or a phrase is pronounced correctly
Create your own word lists and learn them any time
We want to make Subtly better and better, of course, which is why we plan to do more cool stuff like:
Supporting more languages for translation
Supporting more content providers like Amazon Prime, Hulu, Showtime and others
Making translations more relevant, smarter and more contextual
Synchronizing your personal vocabulary with our mobile app for learning and training new words

- (2018-01-18) A R: Ужасное расширение!!! Панель управления ( Где элементы управления видео ) всегда дергается, после просмотра 5 минут начинает дергаться не только эта панель но и глаз. При наведение на субтитры бывают моменты, что видео встало на паузу , но субтитры уже удалились и это случается часто. Удалил! Не понимаю, зачем такое сырое выкладывать в продакшин. Уверен, у обычных пользователей еще больше багов, эти я обнаружил за 5 минут использования.
- (2017-11-03) Вероника Федорова: Все круто сделали, но теперь почему-то Vimbox совсем не работает с Netflix (даже если отключить Subtly), а Subtly не позволяет добавлять слова в словарь Skyeng и заходить под своим аккаунтом - это большой минус, так как не хочется плодить 10 разных словарей. Сделайте что-нибудь с этой проблемой.
