Makes minor changes to the Gmail interface for more efficient use of screen estate.
This extension makes minor changes to the Gmail™ interface. The primary intention was to make 'Compact' view even more compact, especially in the sidebar, toolbar buttons, and message list and view areas. This extension makes labels, toolbar buttons, scrollbars, message headers take up less space. It also makes certain elements stand out visually, like giving message headers a blue background, and framing inline message context messages (i.e. "click to display images") in pale yellow. Gmail has been changing often, but hopefully this extension will continue to work for while! These styles were tested using: - "Compact" view mode - both horizontal and vertical splits - "Light", "High Contrast", and various color themes Known Bugs: (please let me know if you do not experience these bugs) - crashes Chrome when zoom anything other than 100% Please send suggestions and bug reports to: [email protected]. - (2013-05-29) Eli Katz: i like this extension. wish you continue to develop. maybe give users some options to tweak a few of the settings?
- (2013-02-21) Robin Mayfield: I just now added this extension, and at first glance I think it might be what I've been looking for to get gmail useful to me. I've always hated the extraneous space gmail has in email lists, and this squeezes that out. However, is there no way to customize this? I find no options settings anywhere?
- (2013-01-21) Scott Willy: Works great. No issues.
